And Newman has alway's said he was using USAC as a stepping stone to NASCAR, and had no desire to run Indy, or those type of cars... When I heard him say that, he went down a notch or two in my book as far as I was concerned. I mean, he's a Hoosier and his goal wasn't Indy? That's just wrong! LOL

That's all we need now... is for Gordon to step in and add another two or three teams throwing all kinds of money that no one else can afford. I still believe that at this point that Tony and Kasey have been bad for the sport. (still not on live or even consistent T.V., putting cars on rigs, insane engine costs (I don't just blame them for that) and many other reasons)
I'm all for these guys doing whatever they want but if they really wanted to help out to the fullest extent I still believe they should be buying and promoting race tracks, special events, and jumping in the hot rods a few times a year instead of throwing insane amounts of money at a couple cars.

The first guy to win USAC's triple crown by winning all three divisions in one year. Yeley was the second to do it all in one year.... Gordon raced with USAC too.. I remember the night he put a whuppin on Rich Vogler and the rest of the USAC boy's at Winchester, when he was only 19!

About Sr Earnhardt, he got that nickname honestly, no one wanted to see that guy in their rear view mirror. Of course, Earnhardt fans thought that was a positive opinion, "oh yeah, they were worried that he would be passing them", no boys, they were worried about getting the fender.

Do you have any idea how many 10's of millions of dollars Tony Stewart has donated to various charities, people down on their luck, and various other things over the years.
Ever hear of that little race that he puts on at Eldora where all the profits are donated to charity.
