Here is a rundown from 2009...

410 Nonwing Series

Levi Jones became a three-time champion in United States Auto Club (USAC) National sprint car competition, and gave owner Tony Stewart a second major title in 2009. Levi also conquered Indiana Sprintweek and registered four wins including the Tony Hulman Classic at Terre Haute. Cole Whitt (3 wins) was second in the standings, ahead of Dave Darland (4 wins), Jones' teammate Tracy Hines (2 wins) and defending champion Jerry Coons Jr. (3 wins). Out West, Mike Spencer became the first repeat champion in the USAC/CRA series for Ron Chaffin Motorsports. Spencer registered four wins, including the Louie Vermeil Classic at Calistoga. David Cardey (2 wins) and Garrett Hansen (2 wins) rounded out the top three in the standings.

Kyle Cummins collected his third Midwest Sprint Car Series (MSCS) championship in a row. Consistency was the key as a win eluded him in series competition. Ricky Williams and Blake Fitzpatrick were second and third, with Jon Stanbrough tallying four wins with the series…Brady Short copped the five event King of Indiana Sprint Series championship. Stanbrough and Jeff Bland Jr. rounded out the lead trio…Brady Bacon won three of the four shows contested in the Sprint Bandits TnT tour, including the $10,000 to win Ron Shuman Classic finale at Lakeside (KS) Speedway to conquer that series.

Steve Irwin won twice and took the Michigan Traditional Sprints (MTS) championship. Mike Galajda and Keith Love completed the top three…Craig Budde won the season opener and the championship with the Sprint Car Owners Racing Association (SCORA). Dave Peperak and Steve Thomas were second and third.
