SHERIDAN 11TH DIFFERENT CRA WINNER! TIES ALL-TIME USAC RECORD!

Perris, CA…….Danny Sheridan of Santa Maria, Calif., made history Saturday night at the Perris Auto Speedway after he drove his Kittle Plumbing No. 18 Stinger to a 30-lap Lucas Oil USAC/CRA sprint car win.

Sheridan’s victory made him the eleventh different winner in as many races, which tied the all-time USAC season-start record now shared with the 1994 USAC Modified series.

After starting ninth, Sheridan took the lead from Cory Kruseman four laps from the finish after the defending series champion appeared to run out of fuel on a restart.

David Cardey, Riverside, Calif., gave chase in the closing laps but had to settle for second-place. Tony Jones of Norco, Calif., finished third helping to extend his series point lead.

Phoenix, Arizona’s R.J. Johnson finished fourth ahead of Lincoln, Indiana’s Dave Darland. Forced to use a provisional to start the feature race, Darland won the Hard-Charger Award with his drive from the 23rd starting spot.
