I remember, not so long ago, I-44 had a decent car count even when there was an ASCS 2 race in the state. Tonight the A features had car counts of 9 in the A class, 7 in the Limited, 4 in the Turfs, 4 in the Kids, 3 in the Outlaws, 3 in 4 wheelers (Quads), 2 in Restrictors and 2 in Mini Stocks. While we were there the announcer said that the races were cancelled the next 2 weeks, later he said to watch the website because they would know Tuesday if they were going to race next week. For the past 4 races there has been a different flagman each time. As a devoted dirt track fan I am asking if anybody knows what is going on at I-44?

We will not be canceling next week. Sorry about the confuision. We have been working very hard to increase car counts. The track was awesome last night. We want to thank all the fans and dedicated racers during these tough economical times. We love racing and love I-44 Speedway and see a great future for it. We will be paying $500 to win in Non Wing next Fri. This should bring more cars. See you at the races!!!

I agree the track was in excellent shape and I look forward to seeing the car count increase.
