I will be posting the official NCRA press release concerning this event shortly. Next Father's Day Sunday night, June 20th, the NCRA sprint car series will be back in action at 81 Speedway in Park City, Kansas but it is also Steve King Foundation night. A whole day of activities is planned including a motorcycle ride from Wichita to Hutchinson and back, a special $10 rib dinner before the races, the KARS (Kansas Antique Racing Series), a special 50/50 night with half the money raised going to you and the other half to the Foundation, special auctions and other activities to help with the Fund.
I will be there covering the races for NCRA. What I am asking is, would you be interested in donating on behalf of www.oklahomatidbits.com? Whether it be $5, $10, $20 or whatever, if you donate then I will meet with you and get your money and put your name on the list. I will then take all donations and the list of names and present it to Steve King's daughter for donation. I am not sure if checks are accepted but if so I would say make them out to "Steve King Foundation." I will find out if they are accepted and let you know.
If you are interested then please let me know and I will be glad to meet you somewhere to collect. Doesn't matter where your at as this is for a good cause. Would have to be all done by Friday as I look to be going to Creek County for the Sprint Bandit show on Friday night then I head to McCool, Nebraska on Saturday night for the NCRA late model deal, come home for Father's Day and then head back up to Wichita for the sprint show.
Please, I do hope you are able to donate to help a really great cause for the racing community.
