Hello race fans,
We are streaming live video of tonight's USAC/POWRi National Midget event from Tri-State Speedway in Pontoon Beach, IL...We will also be covering the POWRi Micro Midgets and Monster Midwest Series Sprint Cars. Tune in now at:
http://www.usacracing.com/usac_live/usac_live_main
Just for the record, we are using an unsteady Internet connection, shooting from the grandstands in a precarious position, and are using first time "announcer" Kirk Spridgeon to inform you of the goings on, as we have no direct connection to the Public Address system. Please be patient with us in this particular endeavor. We hope you enjoy tonight's broadcast, we will do our best. Thanks so much for your interest. Sincerely,
Dean Mills, Kirk Spridgeon, and Chris Shearer

That was one of the best nights of racing EVAR! Absolutely phenomenal Doty Classic midget race with wicked slider fueled lead changes - often four times per lap every lap and the Monster sprint race was pretty darn exciting too.
Thanks for hanging thru all the technical internet connection issues to Dean Mills and USAC - great stuff!

That was the best race I have seen in quite some time. Four of best midgets drivers in the world throwing monster slide jobs in every corner...It was just nuts!!!

Sounds like Wayne is honing in his wingless skills. Who's car has he been racing during Ill. Sprint Week? Congrats to Clauson and Darland on their wins last night. Wish I could have made the trip up.

Wayne was fast last night and I loved his reply when someone asked him about "winged racing". His reply? "Winged racing sucks"! The crowd eurupted. As fast as he was, nobody had ANYTHING for DD, he was unbelievably fast. You missed a great one Petey, but fortunately whe have a great yearly nonwing event in our backyards.
Are you planning on heading to Burlington, IA on the 26th for the USAC Sprints & Midgets on the same night???

I'm not planning on hitting the race at Burlington. Ind. Sprint Week will be coming up shortly and I'd rather go to some of those races instead. Prolly hit Brownstown, Bloomington and Haubstadt.
I watched some of the live vid last night and it looked like the track was in good shape which I was glad to see. That's quite a statement by Wayne lol. Didn't realize that Jack Yeley had his car on the track this year. Gotta say that Dave Darland has been really fast since stepping into the Goodnight #39. I've never spoke his crew chief Brian Cripe, but he knows how to make a sprinter go.
