I just noticed that Randy was credited with a photo in the latest Sprint Car & Midget magazine. Randy is about my all time favorite sprint car photographer and I know he "retired" a number of years back. Is he shooting again?

Gotta have wings to keep people interested around here. Did you see the USAC hightlights from PA? Looks like those people got a heck of a show......By the way, I've had an Andrew S Quinn business card on my bulletin board since 96'. Don't know if you remember this but I was at a party at a certain race promoter's son's house that year with you and Autralia Steve. Our Maine, Autralian and Minnesota accents confused this nameless person and in an intoxicated state he shouts out, "Where in %&*# are you three guys from?!!!"

I was there for 2 of the 4 USAC shows. Lincoln and New Egypt. They were ok,but any weekly race at Kokomo has that beat all to hell in my opinion.
I remember going to a party at Knoxville in 1996,although I didnt know till just now (old age) where we went. I met my buddy Steve in Knoxville in 1994,and we made plans for a week and a half trip in 1996.I havent seen Steve now in over 10 years, and I have got to call him up and see how he is doing.
I've got to get some more cards made up now that I have made my final move to Speedway,Indiana. Those cards are scattered all over the world. The next batch wont have wings on them though!
Now I am settled in,I have got to get some picture frames, and frame some Randy Jones photos in my house. I'm sure I'd be broke if I ever went to Randy's house and looked thru his photo collection. He is an artist with a camera.

How could I not have one of these business cards? Hook me up next time AQ! Let me guess they say occupation: foole (spelled with the final "e" just to piss them off)

It is my understanding that Randy finally broke down and got a DSLR and is indeed shooting again! He had to be the last "hold out" to go digital. This is a great thing, he set the standard to which all other sprint car photos are measured by.

If I get a chance I'll scan your card and I have Steve's as well, blocking out the phone numbers of course. I don't exactly remember how I hooked up with you guys but I think it was at Osky and then to the party in Knoxville. Good times!

Hehehe I dont have the same number anymore,so it doesnt matter to me. I've got Steves card somewhere in the archives here. I have so many Aussie phone numbers written down/business cards it isnt funny. Back then the phone got quite a workout, and my phone would ring all hours of the day and night. In a way it hasnt changed. I had a friend roll into my house last night from Sydney, and another friend from Brisbane inquired just the other day what was going on in August, and is coming over to go racing with me.
I cant remember how we got to the party now. That was ages ago,and I have a very selective memory at times. We would have been at the Front Row Challenge for sure. That was also my first yr of staying in Knoxville for the Nationals, although the next yr,and the following 10 yrs after that I stayed with different folks, and had a real good time doing so each yr.

Might be easier to find me. Find Bob & Monica Clauson's motorhome, and I'll be nearby.

I didnt see the video, but probably saw the race live!
You should have heeded my advice when you were a young buck, and moved to Indy, then you could be watching all the action every week too...........
