Casey Leads NCRA Mod North into 81 Speedway Saturday Night
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE – Midwest City, Oklahoma – May 23, 2010 - Current points leader Brian Casey will lead the O'Reilly/NCRA modified north division back into action this coming Saturday night as they make a return engagement to 81 Speedway in Park City, Kansas on Saturday night, May 29th.
2008 division champion Marc Hurd inherited the thirty lap feature victory back on April 3rd over a strong field of 44 cars in the only event held thus far for the division in the 2010 race season.
Hurd, Brian Powers and Ryan McAninch currently hold down the runner up position in points, just a mere ten points behind Casey in the point standings. Jason Schniepp, Ross Shipman, defending champion Dan Daniels, Casey McClaskey, Tim Echevarria and Brent Burkhart round out the top ten.
Niel Dossie currently holds a slim two point lead over Dan Powers for rookie of the year honors.
Gates will open at 5:00 PM with racing action set for 7:00 PM sharp. 81 Speedway is located North of Wichita on I-135 to exit 16, then .7 mile west on 77th St. For more race and ticket information contact the 81 Speedway office (316) 755-1781.
The 2010 race season is the 40th Anniversary season for the O'Reilly Auto Parts National Championship Racing Association and sanctions five divisions, including late models, sprint cars, modified north, modified south and southern modifieds throughout the Great Plains region in the following states: Nebraska, Iowa, Kansas, Missouri, Oklahoma and Texas.
