they have known they have a situation that is compounded by wet weather for a while now. if it was indeed escalated by dragging the pits and opening up the ground, i would think they would be taking steps to compact the area, or do whatever they need to do to to help the situation. heck just the natural wet and dry that is going on ought to help compact the ground and and make things more suitable for use of the pits even with some precipitation before a race. ocean speedway had their pits full of standing water only days before their past two events and somehow managed to get the races in. i know the pits area at ocean gets soft when it gets water logged too. i don't know what the deal has been with chico, but alan seems to be the kind of guy to want to get things done.

to indy and beyond!!

Knowing about and doing somethig about the problem are two seperate issues. Yea Alan knows there is a problem, one in which he created. by taking the dirt from where he did.. Trying to fix the problem? I don't think so. I drive by there 5 plus times a day and in the last two weeks i have yet to see any equipment move from where it as been parked. No one has been around and the office has been locked and nobody there has seen Alan. Today is Wed. and maybe something might get done. Hope so as alot of racers are starting to look elsewhere to race. I shure as hell would. Hope it gets better.

Don't know about the problems. Haven't been there since 08 Gold Cup.

Just wondering....at what point would the Fair Board become involved?

thanx
