Regarding the Pocola WoO show and the Goodyear tire durability issues-
A DAMN GOOD source told me there were plenty of harder compounds available.
Another DAMN GOOD source had lunch with Kinser the day before, and Kinser stated the Outlaws had never been there before. Kinser was curious about the track.
Could it be that the top teams went with a tire that would pop before it was all over, and the lower teams did the "copycat tango"?
Harder tires were available, harder heads went with tires that were too soft.
I work for Michelin myself, Goodyears competitor. BUT, it needed to be said.

There was indeed a harder compound tire available - the Goodyear truck from OKC was loaded with plenty. FACT
Everybody will run with the softest tire available in most cases. OPINION

A couple of the Ohio drivers have mentioned that the harder tires are having blister issues and the 100's(softest compound) are holding up much better on the pitgate forum.

Oddly, and to be honest- I have no idea why me.
Putting together shows for old vintage race cars, putting up videos, hunting down old obsolete race car parts (knockoffs, mag wheels etc)---
Tends to get me in touch with some DAMN GOOD sources every now and then....
Still, I'm really just a goober who never, ever, lead NOT ONE LAP IN MY LIFE!
But I mean it when I say DAMN GOOD.

When they were running Hoosiers, I had never heard of anyone bolting on a SC25...
