It's beautiful today in Sonoma County and it's suppose to be nicer tomorrow so I hope they get a good turnout.

We will have our 25 gal Fuel Safe tail tank if someone has a bigger one they want to trade, plus some wheels and complete splined front ends pretty cheap.

Hope to see you there.....

Chad

Yesterday I wanted to help promote the Petaluma Swap meet so I came on this message board and was happily surprised to see that "PetalumaPits", the folks from Petaluma Speedway had already done it. So I posted the above message, spent the rest of the SUNNY afternoon getting stuff ready to sell, then took my younger son to a Warriors basketball game last night. After about 5 hours of sleep we loaded up and headed to Petaluma on a crisp clear morning to find a hand written sign hanging from the gate that read "swap meet postponed till next Saturday due to wet grounds". Hey "PetalumaPits", Thanks for taking the time to update your message here on the Nor Cal Board. I hope you put the sign up yesterday so you didn't have to get up this morning. It was a bitch with all that blinding sun and everything. Sincerely Chad

Chad, The Swap Meet was rescheduled for March 20th from 7a - 2p, with Test and Tune coming after that until 7p. In regards to the comment about taking the time to update this messageboard, and more specifically the Nor Cal Board, it's near impossible to do via cellphone. I challenge you to find the links via Blackberry once the front page starts downloading. And with regards to putting up the sign yesterday "so I didn't have to get up this morning", I didn't put it up since I was in Red Bluff roughly 150 miles away at the Outlaw Kart Nationals. I had ZERO computer access. I was called Friday evening with the word to "update all the sites about it being postponed". I informed Jim I was in Red Bluff, and would try, so I went to work. I successfully updated www.latemodelracer.com, www.sprintcarfan.com and 2 Facebook pages while in a racing trailer in a hailstorm from my cellphone, not to mention the www.petaluma-speedway.com website showed the changes as well. I even tried this forum (buried in an amongst numerous photos/links/and any number of clicks away) and couldn't get the links to get here on the Blackberry. This is NOT the main board I use for just this reason. I couldn't get it done. I tried. You can find Petaluma Speedway updates again on www.sprintcarfan.com, www.latemodelracer.com, 2 Facebook pages and Twitter at PetalumaSpeedwy (drop the A), which no one seems to follow. Again, the Swap Meet was rescheduled for March 20th from 7a - 2p, with Test and Tune coming after that until 7p. Ron Lingron Announcer/Scorer Petaluma Speedway

Thanks for the reply Ron. From your email I gathered that Soares made the call and of coarse YOU had to do all the scrambling. We're trying to make it out this weekend. What's the scoop on entry fees? Is it $25 to sell stuff and then another $25 per person to play?

Thanks again for the reply. I hope things went better in Red Bluff. The weather never seems to stop those guys.

Chad

It's $25 to sell, which gets you a pit pass for the day and includes the playday portion of the day as well. $5 to buy for the Swap Meet. When the Swap Meet ends, those who paid $5 won't have wristbands and will have to pay the difference to stay. Ron

Sounds like a good deal to me. Thanks Ron
