Last Call for 600 Nationals Pre-Entry Discount!

Sprint Car Ace Brady Bacon Among Latest Entries!

Lonnie Wheatley, LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (March 9, 2010) – Drivers planning on competing in this weekend's Fourth Annual 600 Nationals presented by Hoosier Tires at Little Rock's I-30 Speedway are reminded that Wednesday, March 10, is the final day to submit entries at the discounted pre-entry rate.

Entries submitted by the close of business on Wednesday will be honored for just $150. Entries submitted after that will be $250.

The Fourth Annual 600 Nationals presented by Hoosier Tires are set for Thursday, Friday and Saturday at I-30 Speedway, with Saturday night's 40-lap championship feature winner collecting a cool $9,000.

With a Test 'N Tune session for this weekend's action set for Wednesday night, 19-year-old Sprint Car shoe Brady Bacon of Broken Arrow, OK, is among the latest to file entries for the premier Micro Sprint Car racing event.

Excelling in both the winged and wingless Sprint Car ranks, the third-generation racer is set to take on the full Lucas Oil Sprint Car Series presented by K&N Filters trail in 2010 while also defending his Lucas Oil Sprint Bandits Tour 'N Topless championship.

But, before kicking off his Lucas Oil Sprint Car title pursuit at next weekend's Devil's Bowl Winter Nationals, Bacon and the Tel-Star team have made the late decision to vie for this weekend's $9,000 winner's share at the Fourth Annual 600 Nationals.

While some Sprint Car drivers have been somewhat out of their element in making the transition to the Micro Sprint ranks, Bacon should make the adjustment with little trouble.

After all, Bacon has snared a pair of Golden Drillers by scoring Micro Sprint wins at the prestigious Tulsa Shootout. After taking his first Golden Driller in "A" Class action in 2004, Bacon bested a field of more than 100 600cc Outlaw Micro Sprints in 2008.

Bacon will be one of many top contenders from throughout the nation trying to dethrone reigning 600 Nationals champion Travis Senter, Jr., of Osceola, AR, who has topped two of three previous editions of the hard-fought Little Rock event.

The weekend also includes the Third Annual Landers Harley-Davidson $1,000-to-win Horizon Mini Sprint Nationals. The Horizon Mini-Sprints take to the track on both Friday and Saturday, with Friday's top six finishers locked into Saturday night's $1,000-to-win main event.

Entries from 17 different states have already been filed for this weekend's 600 Nationals, with drivers coming from as far away as California, and New Jersey and points in between

All paid entries from the originally scheduled September event will be honored with new entries accepted for just $150 until March 10. Entries submitted after March 10 will be $250.

Format: Once again, a version of the Sprint Bandits popular format of heats and qualifying races will be in place for all three nights of competition. Each night, Heat Races will be aligned according to the pre-race draw, with the passing points system in effect. A subsequent set of Last Chance Races followed by Qualifying Races, with passing points again in effect, will set each night's feature lineup.

The top four from Thursday night's feature and the top four from Friday night's feature will be locked into the championship feature event and will run in Saturday night's Pole Dash to determine the alignment of the front four rows of the 600 Nationals championship feature event. The top six from Friday night's Horizon Mini Sprint main event lock into Saturday night's Pole Dash, which sets the alignment of the first three rows of the main event.
