Gotta give it to Brown as he was faster than Hockett, and it was fun to watch them 2 dice back and forth, wish I was at the track. Good run for Bacon too. BUT....what was the deal with that track crew? It took an insanely long time on the yellows, couldn't get car lined up, etc....on one of the first yellows (I think for wayne) they must have run 10 laps or more under yellow, and just in general seemed VERY unorganized or that anyone was really in control. And, watching it on the live feed from ustreamtv we never saw a white flag.....I new the final restart said 5 to go before green dropped, I watched and watched then as they go down the back stretch I'm saying '2 to go?' 'White flag this time?' And as they come out of 4 the PA says brown takes the checkered....I'm obviosly upset Jesse didn't win, especially after leading most of it but brown was a bit faster at the end and Jesse was a little indecisive on the line to take but man, that track operations and communications was horrible.

Believe it or not, that wasn't a bad night for officiating in our area. In fact, here is a post about the same night that was made on a local Houston racing forum:
"Hats off to Smitty and all involved doing the line-ups under caution. Best I have ever seen around this area. Nothing more boring than watching cars make 4 or 5 laps under yellow before restarting."
It was good to see sprint cars on the track for the first time in ten years. Now if we can just get the Bandits there for an event. . . .

Wow, that's pretty bad....I guess if I hadn't done something for 10 years i'd be rusty too. I hope the bandits' heats/qualifier format don't screw them up
