'84 Shores sprinter made street legal - first filmed clip - no brakes yet but just HAD to drive it - have done lots more to it since this clip. It's on youtube under street legal sprint car ( SignmanLip2's channel - look around some, there are ( 4 ) vids of this car there ). Contact me at [email protected] . I know there are and have been many others out there, this car just became outdated long ago and this seemed like a fitting end/ new beginning for it. It's just been a fun project and a blast to drive around. It really handles well, although I'm not in as big of a hurry anymore. Thanks for looking.

A guy in Fargo,ND has had one for at least a dozen years or more. Don't think it has a front or top wing on it though. Also, there was a Kinser Quaker State emerald green (all green) one for sale in NSSN a year ago. Forget how much they wanted for it. That all green car is best looking car Steve Kinser ever drove IMHO. I've got two of the 1/18ths. That's how much I like the look of that car.
Adding $6 trillion of debt in his 1st term and now if
elected again he wouldn't have to worry about an
electorate in 2016 so the sky is the limit. And his EPA
would continue to put the screws to oil drilling and
mining for coal. Can you say bankruptcy.

In the late 1960's I was stationed in Colorado Springs at the foot of Pikes Peak. While driving down a well maintained dirt road just east of the Garden of the Gods, I was passed by a sprint car at full chat. Boy was he raising some dust. He was shaking it out for the upcoming Pikes Peak Hillclimb. In those days that was the fast way up the mountain.

This is a really cool car.
In the old days in California, I think around 1970 you could drive a car without fenders if it weighed less than 1200lbs. Rule is still probably in effect, but cops would probably still give you a hard time in some areas and some cops in general would probably give you a hard time.
You could add some fenders though and not hurt the appearance two bad.
You can tell with this car that is a little longer and probably has a transmission and I would guess and automatic....maybe a power glide two speed. That's all you really need. The car is so light to begin with.
I assume this car has a diffential and not a quick change.
You can tell the engine it not mounted to the firewall/engine plate. It's a little forward to make room for the tranny.
What year is this car registered as? Maybe like a 1930-1955 year model year.
It is truely a neat car.
Sincerely,
Larry "O"

lol - No shots fired ! If you go to youtube and type in "street legal sprint car" it should take you to several vids, one of which is titled "SignmanLip2's channel" then search, you'll find a second vid of the car (my nephew, he's the good looking one)- and on the left side, built into the nerf bar, is my "TRUNK", (look quickly or pause as the car goes by) it's big enough to hold a full set of golf clubs, and have even been to Kroger for groceries with it. Let me know if you find the vid, Lip.

You're very perceptive. We stretched the car to allow for a decent length of travel on the driveshaft, it has a turbo 350 tranny, the car still "stands up" like it used to when you hit the loud pedal (except there's only about 500 hp now), all geometry still the same . It's titled as an '84 assembled vehicle, has had two police inspections during title process, completely legal. It DOES still have the old Halibrand quick change rearend, and I'm still experimenting on what gear to run, and when I took it to my buddy's junkyard scales, it weighed about 1500 pounds, mostly due to the steel rear axle, right front brake, and tranny weight, plus other components not on a race ready car. There's a fold down windshield with wiper now, also. It's still quick, though. Thanks for your comments.

I'm a little technologically challenged, but I just uploaded a couple more vids of the car on a race track - if you can find them, hope you enjoy !

I've seen this car on the net before & read the article - I like it, wish there was more about it. Note the car number-911 !! Is it yours ? Would like to know what the rear tires are.
