It is that time of year again for the annual Dirt Track World Championships at the Dirt Track at Texas Motor Speedway as it kicks off next weekend (February 26-27). Any of you fans or drivers planning on making the trip down for the modified, southern sport mod and late model (will race Saturday night) races?
I will be there in the pits and then the press box and I know that Chris Smith is going. I think Dogwater (Erick) is going and drivers are Randy Timms and Brian Franz. Would like to get an idea on what drivers and fans are heading down there.
Hope the weather is good for a change with no thought of bad weather. Thanks and hope to see you all there......
David Smith Jr.

Brian Slader is will be running sport mod. He wll be driving the car that 15 year old Kyle will be driving at Thunderbird Speedway. He just won a qualifier at Grand Prairie, Tx about 30 minutes ago.

10 reasons we will leave our Sport Mod setting in the shop
10. Too Cold
9. Wife says no (After all she does own half the car)
8. Don't have the gear
7. Don't have those super soft tires
6. Don't have the money
5. The car isn't lettered yet
4. Tow truck needs tires
3. Driver has to work
2. Did I say that it is too cold
1. I had open heart surgery 6 weeks ago

10 reasons to change your mind....
10. Get a bigger coat and take a blanket..
9. Let the wife go shopping then sneak out when she leaves...
8. Borrow a gear from somebody...
7. Soak your tires with bleach...
6. Write a hot check...
5. Duct tape and cans of paint will work...
4. It's cold enough your tow truck tires won't blow out just one more trip...
3. Call in sick...
2. Put a space heater in the trailer...
1. I didn't know you had heart surgery hope your better by the way. Just don't eat any Greasy French Fries and find a Chauffeur ...

Thats funny Randy. Wish it was all that easy. On the heart surgery I am getting better and stronger every day. Now I can say I have some titanium in me. The cardiologist said that 1.94 valve wouldn't work anymore and they put a 2.02 in me. LOL
