I'm looking for some opinions from you guys that have the 360 on whether it's worth buying the system. I've done some reading and the system generally has terrible reviews. A lot of talk about the Red ring of death and green tint splashing....I want to race but I also don't want to spend a bunch of money on a pile of junk. Any experiences or opinions would be helpful.

I've had an xbox for almost 2 years and have never had any of those problems, but i wouldnt go out and buy an xbox just for this game. The game just isnt that great. They had some good ideas as far as real events in the career mode, gold cup at chico, ironman at i-55, dirtcar nationals at volusia, etc., but the gameplay just plain sucks. The graphics are good, however a little bit into the race, the screen starts to get hazy, and im assuming that they were aiming for it to be dusty, but its really annoying and makes it difficult to even see the racing line at times. The car doesnt handle realistically at all, and at the pro mode, if you can get a handle on the car, you can lap the field in the feature with ease. Unfortunately, this game was a huge let down and the 8 year old ps2 game blows this out of the water in my opinion.

There is alot of talk on other gaming message boards that this game will only be released for Xbox. Any other information about other game platforms is no longer correct. This is just what I read, I have no real knowledge of this.

To the people who have the game, what states are you from? I couldn't find the game at Walmart or Best Buy today. I'm from Iowa and my buddy out west in Arizona always seems to get new releases there before I see the stuff here just wondering if this is the case again.

Have the game already, picked it up at Gamestop, they hadn't put it on the shelf yet, but they do have them and the guy working there just went to the back and brought it out to sale it to me.
As for the game, graphics are nice, I for one like that the game gets hazy/dusty by the middle/end of the feature as that just adds to the realism. The handling took a little getting used to but after 5 or 6 races running smooth is no problem. I was really worried that the career mode was going to be way to easy but the difficulty definitely picks up as you get deeper into the season.
One big thing, they spelled Randy Hannagans name wrong they have it Hannigan, which isn't a huge deal, but come on.

I am in Oklahoma and I ordered it off Amazon.com and played it last night. For people complaining about a $20 sprint car game, with real names, real events and decent game play are crazy. They are never going to make a dream game. This game is really good. I would recommend it to any one with a Xbox. If you have PS3 just wait. The game is totally worth it though. If you hear someone says it is not good then they are expecting to much. This is 100 times better then Road to Knoxville etc.
About the only thing I do not like about it is that its really easy. I have lapped the field twice in a race before. I do not see any difficulty level to adjust it. Idk maybe it will get harder. But I would still recommend it to everyone.

I bought the game last night at GameStop, I didnt play it much, but I think its pretty fun for $20 bucks. I mean like he said, there will never be one thats perfect, this is by far the best one since 2002, way better than all of those cheasy ones that have some in between. The engines sound kind of annoying, and the cars do drive quite a bit different, but its still a good time. and the best part about it is that you can get online and race against other guys if you have xbox live membership. I've been playing Modern Warfare 2 on there for a few months but I played online with this new WOO game last night and it was fun racing with up to 8 guys online, its way more tough competition than the arcade mode. Its great as long as you dont get in a room with a loud mouth. Its fun being able to race online against other guys and talk sprint car racing at the same time. I noticed on the Williams Grove forum that they have a gamertag thread, we need to all list our gamer tags so we can add each other as friends and have a good group to race with.

Is it just me or does the multiplayer part of the game only allow you to race with yourself and player two? I couldnt get it to let me and another person race other cars besides just us two?

Where did you get this info? I just found this on the world of outlaws website:
New World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series Video Game Becomes Reality Feb. 9 Posted Monday, Feb 01, 2010
Concord, N.C. — New World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series Video Game Becomes Reality Feb. 9: Authentic Action and User Adjustability Highlights All-New Racing Game
CONCORD, N.C. — Feb. 1, 2010 — Do you think you can hold your own against Steve Kinser and the toughest racers on the planet? Now is your chance to find out. THQ Inc. has created the all-new video game World of Outlaws: Sprint Cars exclusively for the Xbox 360® and it’s as close to real life as you can get.
If this is true, that really sucks. What were they thinking making it for only one system!!

I picked the game up this afternoon and tried to play it when I got home from work. Is there anyway to tighten up the car when playing on xbox live, because all my car wanted to do was spin out?

for those of you that were expecting this game to be the greatest thing ever and are whining about it...its kind of like the people on here that complain about what a car owner does or a driver should have done and have never owned or driven a car. try creating a game and get it right the first time. how many times did gran turismo try to get it right? and those guys pretty much have an unlimited budget to make that game as close as possible and it still isnt close to reality. come on, at least we have a new game to try. one for xbox now with better graphics than the old ps2 version.

Thanks for all of the positive feedback, overall the response to the game has been great and I can assure you that we at Big Ant are listening and will act on any constructive criticism - we want this game to be as good as it can be.
An announcement on the availability of the Playstation3 version is imminient - it will definitely be available for download via PSN - the date is the only thing we don't know.
Also, there will be Xbox and Playstation themes out soon.
Thanks again for your support, we really do appreciate it.
Cheers,
Ross.
