Got this from the ASCS website. They have doubled the series this year. Looking forward to seeing non-wing 410 action at I-30!

Lonnie Wheatley, TULSA, Okla. (February 2, 2010) – For the sixth consecutive year, the Lucas Oil Sprint Bandits Tour ‘N Topless series will once again offer up some of the nation’s premier wingless Sprint Car racing action.

And, this year’s edition of TNT will include a bit more than the annual August swing through the heartland, with another half dozen events on the series’ 2010 slate.

The 2010 edition of Lucas Oil Sprint Bandits TNT will kick off with a Texas triple at Beaumont’s Golden Triangle Raceway Park, Baytown’s Houston Raceway Park and then Waco’s Heart O’ Texas Speedway on April 30, May 1 and May 2.

The following weekend, TNT ignites atop the famed Devil’s Bowl Speedway in Mesquite, TX, on May 7 before tackling the high-banked, ¼-mile I-30 Speedway red clay oval the following night.

After a stop at the “Diamond of Dirt Tracks”, Lucas Oil Speedway in Wheatland, MO, on June 19, next up is the Sixth Annual Lucas Oil Sprint Bandits Tour ‘N Topless Midwest Swing.

The sixth annual August slate of events opens up on Sunday night, August 15, at Rapid Speedway in Rock Rapids, IA, where the series initial attempt was rained out last year.

From there, it’s on to Nebraska Raceway Park’s I-80 Speedway on Monday night, before taking to Missouri’s ½-mile Sedalia State Fair Speedway on Tuesday night.

After an off night, the series shifts to the cozy confines of Sapulpa, Oklahoma’s Creek County Speedway on Thursday night, August 19, before finishing out the week with the annual $10,000 to win Ron Shuman Classic at Kansas City’s Lakeside Speedway on August 20-21.

This year’s standard Lucas Oil Sprint Bandits TNT events will offer up a $3,000 winner’s share with $300 to start along with $300 tow money to the top ten in series points. A points fund totaling $1,000 per event will be distributed among the series top teams at the end of the season.

Several other events are under discussion and will be added to the schedule as details are finalized.

Broken Arrow, Oklahoma's Brady Bacon is the reigning Lucas Oil Sprint Bandits TNT champion after topping three feature events en route to the 2009 crown, joining the likes of Dave Darland (2008), Robert Ballou and Tim Kaeding (2007), Jesse Hockett (2006) and Levi Jones (2005) as past TNT title bearers.

I'm glad to see that there will be some non-wing racing at tracks like Rapid and I-80. It's been ages since there has been any non-wing 410's around here.

I hope I'm wrong but I don't foresee a great crowd turnout at Rapid. It's the night after the nationals and they'll be competing with the program at Huset's. If the turnout is bad I hope it doesn't cause the series to scratch the track off of next years schedule. Instead I hope they consider a different date. I hope I'm wrong and it's not an issue.

They have been to Greenwood for the last few years, 3 or so following the Nationals.

Nonwing run pretty much weekly at Rock Rapids, I think starting there 2nd season. Friday nights.

Yes they do race friday nights at rapid. They have an engine rule, steel head 360, flat top pistons, no titanium, etc.. if you meet the engine specs you can run any tire you want. Otherwise you have to run a hard tire(not sure what tire). I was refering to 410 non wing sprints. Not that there is anything wrong with the weekly class, ive been there many times and enjoy the hell out of it.

I would love to go to the TNT race but after 9 days in knoxville and what would be a 3 hour drive after the races its not feasable for me to go and make it to work the next day.(work always kills my fun). I know they cant please everybody, and I really do hope the stands are packed. Hopefully enough of the local drivers are able to get ahold of a 410, that would help the crowd alot.
