Danny isn't this going to limit the cars like from Ada or Enid running there? Doesn't these limit the real use of methanol? Just curious after reading the rules!!!

Andy, i have no idea as to the rules at the other tracks, and i am not sure, I do remember at the rules meeting Mark said we can run aluminum intakes so i would suggest for any clarifications or questions anyone should call Mark so he can answer and clarify, i was just doing to copy and paste from the BMS website, and yes we are running methanol, gas is optional for those who don't want to convert to methanol yet, Bert, Brinn, & Falcons are allowed from the meeting, no Goodyear OKC tires we are on Asphalt Tires or the Hoosier 500 10" tires, i would suggest anyone who has questions to please call Mark at his shop he will be able to answer them.

Yes, at the rules meeting, it was made clear that after market aluminum high rise intake manifolds would be permitted.

Rules says, porting and polishing permitted only on OEM stock heads. However, I see a great big grey area on the porting and polishing of after market steel heads, for instance, Dart has a few different porting options to choose from. I really don't see where anyone could argue on a porting issue anyway if it were to arise, in regardes to an after market steel head.

I also noticed there is no minimum crankshaft weight.

Note only the only Heads that can be Ported are Stock Heads 461 Chevy or 462 - 291 Vortec and i do remember Mark saying at the meeting that he would still allow porting on the same heads like the ones we all ran last year Stock Type GM Heads, after market Heads or Aluminum Heads must remain untouched.

Any questions should be made to Mark so he can help answer and clarify the rules better.

I would like to add that the driver info sheets are also available on the website. It would be GREAT if everyone who intends to run at Brill Motor Speedway this year would take a couple minutes to fill this form out, also. It will save me a great deal of time and energy especially on opening night when things are already a little chaotic, and busy. I use these forms to get the info I use for announcing. As it says on the form, if you want me to mention it, put it on the form. I will still be making my rounds through the pits, getting to know who's who, etc. Look forward to "visiting" with everyone. Hope to see lots of new faces as well as several that are already familiar to me. Let's make 2010 the best year yet at BMS. See you all on Saturday nights!!!!
