A fellow Hammerhead??
PT and Carmine Appice did an album together a few years ago, "it takes alot of balls" . One of the songs "Rock Me" I always felt would make a great 4 wide tune.
They play it at Perris once in awhile (although not during the 4wide)

Is "Rock Me" on You Tube, Jeff?

BEST EVER IN HELL'S BELLS BY ACDC!!!!! used to play when the Outlaws were being pushed off at Eagle. That song with 410 firing up just goes great together. plus acdc is the best band of all time.
I'd rather be in Knoxville.

I like most mentioned but Hell's Bells by AC/DC at the top of the list. First 90 seconds of that song is perfect for just prior to announcing the feature lineup.
Lawlessness + liberalism = HELL - NYC, Detroit, Chicago,
Seattle, LA Who the H runs those cities.

Thanks Jeff, I do recognize it and it is a great song for sprint cars. Easyups I do not have one of those new-fangled devices, but thank you anyway.

I have an entire playlist of Cake that I've been known to plug into during A-mains. They have a lot of great songs besides "The Distance". My favorite is probably "Comfort Eagle". I also have a Rilo Kiley playlist that has the right rhythm for a sprint car race, but that's more pop-y than what's been named so far.
My roller derby league used to do skater introductions to "Ladies and Gentleman" by Saliva and I had it stuck in my head during driver introductions at the Chili Bowl.

Is that a vote for Please, Please, Please! by the King of Soul, James Brown??? Don't think it would work...

Motley Crue - "Kickstart My Heart"
I think many of the ones ya'll are mentioning are just cliche's in the present time.
I mean - Hells Bells and Thunderstruck and all that can be played at any action sporting event. I do think Kickstart My Heart stands out a bit. It belongs much more at a racing event than any other sporting event.
I do like One of these Days though. That is a good one.
Variety is good though. I always liked that about Knoxville when we go up for the 360 Nats. They even incorporate modern non-rock into the fold - its pretty cool. Variety is good - but in looking for a signature song - I like Kickstart My Heart.
Just for kicks I would like to hear Tom Petty's - "Learning to Fly" (but I aint got wings) played at a non-win race just one time. I think a crowd would get a good kick out of it too.
However - I don't like the Tom Sawyer song. I've watched many WoO race son youtube and heard that and just don't really subscribe to it myself. I could think of several openings to Rage Against the Machine songs that would fit a sprint car parade lap. Of course it would be a swell idea to end it before the words start though lol
Or Drowning Pool's - Let the Bodies Hit the Floor. Could think of several Disturbed song's as well - Down with the Sickness and others. I just want to see a track have the balls to try a rap song one time tho. Just one time - any more and they might be lynched (literally) - but just for ingenuity and creativity lol.
How much would could a wouldchuck chuck if a
wouldchuck could chuck would
