GENERAL MANAGER C. RAY HALL ELECTED AS REGIONAL PROMOTER OF THE YEAR
General Manager and owner of 81 Speedway C. Ray Hall was selected by his peers in the Great Plains (Region 6, consisting of tracks in Iowa, Missouri, Nebraska, Kansas and Colorado) as the area's Promoter of the Year for 2009. Hall will receive his regional award during the annual RPM Awards in Daytona Beach, Fla. on February 8 at the Hilton Hotel & Convention Center. It is Hall's 8th time to be selected as the regional promoter of the year.
The other regional winners that will be contesting Hall for 2009 National Auto Racing Promoter of the Year are; Region 1, Red MacDonald and Bob Watson of Lee USA Speedway, New Hampshire. Region 2, Andrew Harpell of Five-Mile Point Speedway, New York. Region 3, Al Varnadore and Todd Hutto of East Bay Raceway, Florida. Region 4, Jim Nuckles of Columbus Motor Speedway, Ohio. Region 5, Orville Chenoweth of Dakota State Speedway, South Dakota. Region 7, Rodney Wing of Whynot Motorsports Park, Ms. Region 8, Steve Bietler, Skagit Speedway, Washington.
Hall was selected as the National Auto Racing Promoter of the Year in 1997.
