There never was intended to be a building in place of the grandstands.
Parking and/or entrance only.
Notice how they very nicely left the grandstands area out of the picture. cute huh? This is what I noticed last APRIL< YES DAMMIT< APRIL. It was in the business section of the Sunday Okerhoman.
A huge building goes up, another comes down, only so much space.

I've got some pictures of a rennovavion plan that I took during the Fair in 2003 that I would like everyone to see. It shows the speedway as a proposed parking lot. I can't figure out how to post them. Can someone help me post them?

Hey Flash, I guess no one is interested in seeing what's listed as number 5 in the photos is the speedway as a 3500 car parking lot. Shame, shame

Yes, this is the truth before your very eyes. Of course, the convention center came later into the plans-----which means---
drumroll pulleeeeezzzzz----------
THEY COUNTED ON THE SPEEDWAY BEING GONE ANYWAY. They were already confident they could just shut it down and weather the storm.
Look you square in the eye, and lie. AND lie to those that could care less about the speedway, which means they have got a good grip on forming public opinion.
They plainly see the public as sheep.
