Just found out from the staff at Oklahoma Sports Park
that at the end of the 2010 season there will be a $10,000 to Win with
a $500 to start street stock / factory stock race.
Unsure of the date as of right now, but this is going to be great.
Keep watching for more information.

Ok, just got off the phone with a staff member from OSP,
and found out that the race is going to be a combine class with Street
Stock and Factory Stock.
The rules for this races will be out, sometime in the next week or so.
The racing event will be a complete weekend deal, Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday afternoon.
Thank you, James (PhotoMan)

Why do this for 2 classes that are almost dead in this area? The rules are different for these classes at every track in the state. There is to big of a differance in these two classes to put them together You will not get any factory stocks if they go with Ada street stock rules. I would bet they dont get 50 cars.
Why not have a Big Sportmod race you would get 200+ cars and the rules are pretty much the same all over OK, TX, LA, GA
Just my 2 cents

i dont understand y they would make it for street and factory stock either rules r way to far apart but i think it would be a good idea to have a big show for factory stock and not just for the mods and sport mods they aint the only classes out there still just my opion

I Think it is A great Idea! Take the cars from Enid 10k to win, also The 5k to win at Outlaw, I believe there will be alot more the 50 I would bet 100+ at Ada. Everyone would like to run Ada, Nice long track, But it runs on Saturday Nite and Conflicts with Local Racetracks! Count me in! JMO

The reason Enid only got 70 cars last year is because the promoters reputation in Enid and the other is he will not pay for the cost to get the info out. It would be great if my kid's are off that weekend and I can make it to the show. Never have seen the track but maybe this year.

There will be no factory stock to it, original street stock rules with minor changes according to the times we are now in. George hopes to have all details finalized within the next two weeks.
This event will happen.

Yep, street stocks. Like I say he is working on the final details but from a non-drivers point of view, should be a good deal for everybody.

I agree any race like this is good for our sport. It just surprises me that George is going to do this for a class that is the smallest car count he has on alot of Saturday nights. In 09 Ada only averaged 10 streetstocks a night, Enid was more like 6 cars a night, Meeker was around 15 a night and with the rule changes this year for meeker I dont see that class getting any bigger.
The largest car count at all three of these tracks in 09 was in the Sportmod/limiteds. The only sportmod race in oklahoma that paid over 1k was Enid and it was on the same weekend as the NCRA cars were at the Hutch Nationals.
They would get twice as many Sportmods for a 10k race than they will for the Street Stocks there are probably 3 sportmods for every streetstock in Oklahoma
