I respect your opinion but let me toss this into the mix....Put Goeden, Reinke, Scotty, Balog, orTravis in a car that normally runs in the rear and I'll bet you that car is now a front runner too.

Dodge is a huge test of driver ability. You are going so fast the line between winning and junked is incredibly small. That is one of the reasons for the differences in speed. Some guys know they are not that good and know better than to try and find that edge. Anyone can be a winner at a slow joint like Wilmot because you can make mistakes and not junk it. On the big ole halves one error and it's over. If you look back in time a lot guys that win at a slow place likeWilmot never win anywhere else even fast short tracks.

I raced a lot more on the 1/4's than the 1/2's and I'll tell you what......The 1/2 miles are an adrenaline rush like no other and separate the men from the boys. Dodge takes big balls, a ton of talent and yes money too, but they all take money. Way too much money. That is why the talent poll is dwindling so badly. The racer that made the sport was it is can no longer afford it so we end up with some people that have more money than talent and the racing has suffered.

With all this said I like watching the 1/4's better for the racing but watching the big ole 1/2's still give the rush unlike anything else.

you're right. I remember Goedon in the #77. I also remember MOJO in the #77. quite a bit different results. Also Hepfner in the 01 or Dodd in the 01. Hepfner finished like 9th or 10th with the WoO's in that car.

and Charter sucks. no passing, dust bowl.

I will have to trust you on the Wilmot comment. I moved away from Wisconsin last spring, but I would never have considered it a good track.

Angell Park was the best thing going. I loved that place.

I agree it was better last year, and the new team will hopefully get it even better this year. This year hopefully everything gets a little better. Track prep, scoreboard, concessions, modified racing, transponders would be awesome, I think every car should have to get one. Good luck to Joe and his team. Now lets get that schedule out!!!!!!!!!!
