Sign up NOW for Chili Bowl web castKansas City, MO - December 24, 2009 By: RacinBoys.com
For the fifth straight year, Racinboys.com is providing live exclusive coverage of the Lucas Oil Chili Bowl Midget Nationals, January 12-16, 2010 from the Quik Trip Center in Tulsa, Oklahoma.
Scott Traylor, Kirk Elliott, and the rest of the Racinboys team are committed to offering the highest quality audio webcast in motorsports with the best open wheel and midget racing announcers on the planet.
Long-time midget racing analyst Bryan Gapinski returns with Scott and Kirk for the fifth straight year and veteran announcer Justin Zoch of Flat Out Magazine provides the lap-by-lap call. Scotty Cook once again serves as lead pit reporter.
In addition, winning sprint car ace Tony Bruce Jr. offers his racing expertise over the five-day event with Racinboys own Trenton Berry, POWRi lead announcer Jim Childers and Jackslash.com’s Sean Buckley rounding out the team.
“We’ve put together what I believe is the most knowledgeable group of talent in midget car racing,” said Elliott. “These guys not only have the expertise about the cars, but they know the drivers which is invaluable to the fans listening.”
More than 30 hours of lap-by-lap action over five days can be heard from what is widely regarded as the largest winter-time indoor racing event in the world.
“The tough economy has affected the motorsports industry in the last 12 months which has forced us to reevaluate the way we can provide our extensive coverage at the highest standards possible,” said Traylor. “For this year’s Chili Bowl, we’ll be charging a full-event minimal subscription fee so that we can bring you the best quality webcast with the best announcers in the business. For $1.00 a day, fans who are not able to attend can enjoy the type of coverage passionate open wheel fans have come to expect.”
To allow Chili Bowl fans around the world to fully enjoy this always exciting event and receive a much improved on-line experience, Racinboys.com will offer convenient subscription access for just $4.99, which covers the entire week-long event. Archives of each day’s program will be part of the paid member access.
If you sign up before January 4, full-event subscription is $3.99.

...well I will say that it was nice to hear the races these last couple years, but now charging to hear is a little disturbing.Funny when people identify a good thing, then try to make money off it.Bet there will only be half as many listeners now.....seems like pay-per-view should have worked....

It's only $4.99 not $25.....$1 a day! FYI... 3.99 before Jan. 4th. It cost us thousands of dollars to pull off this broadcast. We are not trying to get rich, just pay the bills.
We hope you understand

Awe heck, I'll give ya $3.99. May be this year by charging a few bucks, it will keep the chat board clean of profanity and ugly comments about fan's choice of racer to a minimum.
MERRY CHRISTMAS!!

...the thing with me is this,
We have seen what can be done on the internet just in the last 2 months for racer's and race fan's.The fact that USAC ran the whole night of racing, night after night to the world, live feed from the both, reply's of action ect. for free.USAC didn't spend a lot of money to put that out,and what they put into it came back huge on scope of thing's..
...now the fact that listening to the radio threw my computer will cost me more money then I already have invested in my computer,pg&e ect...just isn't going to happen.I will read each day after, and buy the video.
..I do understand that it does cost money to get there, and get in every night, and lodging ect.,so hey if you can cover all the bill's then call it a business move, and move forward.
peace

I can't believe how cheap some people are. It's the middle of winter and your locked down in your nice warm house and you bitch about having to pay $3.99 to listen to all those races.
I will be getting the races live for the 3.99. I would pay 10 bucks if I had to. Beats driving for 12 hours to get there. Rent a room for how ever many nights, have to pay to eat out. Sounds like a money saver to me.

3.99 and people are complaining?? TOO FUNNY. The same people who complain when teams quit going on the road... $3freekin 99... oh my head aches for this world. I am sorry, but toilet paper costs about $.009 a roll and we pay $4 for 6 rolls... and complaining about $3.99... or the beer that costs about $.13 to make and people are paying $5 a bottle... ITS ONLY 3.99... wtf

The price is more than fair for this great event. cant beleive anyone would miss out for $3.99. too funny. thats like 4 cents a race. It wouldn't even bother me if they make some dough they deserve it.
though, I'll be driving 12 hours, renting hotels and eating out. maybe I,ll buy one as a donation. keep up the good work.

Funny thing about this, is that they observe the hard times. In return they are only asking for money from the fans. I just hope that by paying for the service, that I can actually follow along from my living room as to whom is running where. Seems to me the last time I listened, they did less talking while the cars where actually on the track....

$3.99
If that seems excessive just think of it as a donation to the sport we all love.

Thanks for all the support, we won't let the sprint car and midget fans down. With the cast of veteran open wheel broadcasters it will be the best Chili Bowl broadcast to date on RacinBoys.

Love to sign up now Scott but the subscription page is not real friendly to non USA fans.
Can you amend the page to permit Australians (and others I guess) to subscribe?

Let me 1st state that I love the fact that you guys do this for the fans that can't go.
But if i am going to pay for this someone needs to tell the announcers they need to do a better job of letting us know what the run down is especially on yellow flags..There is NO reason why they can't give us the run down on EVERY yellow to let us know where everyone is running. It was VERY frustrating last year when they did not do this.I can understand that during the race you are going to only talk about the leaders but on a yellow they need to give a run down..even if just numbers. I think sometimes they forget that we can't see...Not much to ask....If they can do this i will gladly pay the money...

Another biggie for me is the FULL rundown after the race. Many times they would only give the finishing order of the transfer cars.

I live only 2 hours away and I'm going to most likely pay to listen. Still alot cheaper and you never know what the weather will be like getting there it changes every five minutes here in Oklahoma.
