At the last meeting it seemed as thou all were wanting to unite to make Lanny see the light. Most comments that nite and in the past have been centered around Rules, Tech and $$$. My feeling are that it now should be around the track, true most of my comment in YEARS past have been about Lanny but things change. If the next meeting is about Lannys rules or how we can get discounts to drive up membership its a waste of time. Membership needs to be increased but not to change rules at a track that may not even be open.
Lannys lease runs until 2012 but either party can walk away in 30 days, thats a fact. The lease is based on dollars and responsibilties more than tenure. So dont feel as thou there is security there.
The next meeting needs to be based on what we need to do to keep the pit gate open and procedures to insure correct representation. If time is spent disscussing tech area that may not be there it could be a waste of time but it's the members and invited guest time to waste and if thats their choice so be it.
Previous post last week and topics at the last meeting was about Lanny. After the Banquet it seems to of changed to keeping the gate open. When life throws you a curve ball you need to swing at it anyway, if you dont hit it you may still get a foul-tip and stay in the game. Alot of people dont want Lanny to attend but I think today that needs to change based on his comments at the Banquet.
I dont expect any comments to this post from board members or officers of the ORA but it would be nice to know what the topic of this meeting is going to be before we attend. True I'm not a member but want to be, as an invited guest can you please respond by post or a phone call. Even thou my focus may have changed over the years my phone # is the same, the ORA has it.

You can call me at 397-5818 and I will discuss anything you want. You are wrong about the lease, but that is not important at this point. I will tell you and everyone that we will do what is best for the ORA as a whole. There were some good ideas brought up at the last meeting that could benefit the entire group, so those will be looked at.

Every day is a new day with new info. I wonder what tomarrow will bring or for that matter the next 38 days until the ORA meets? I also kind of wonder what will happen to this forum if the speedway closes? Where do me move the fantasy league?
