37 sport mods, 24 modifieds, 16 pro/streets, 16 factory stocks, 7 pure stocks and 3 sprint cars.....Sprint cars ran a eight lap race (won by Loyd Clevenger) and will be paid accordingly, they will not be racing Sunday afternoon......Steve Smith is there with his pro stock and modified.....Gene Weaver, Rodney Sanders, Johnny Scott (driving for Bryan Rowland this weekend), Randy Timms were just some of the modified drivers in attendance.....Really good racing.....If you want to race tomorrow (Sunday) you still can by trying to qualify through the last chance race.....Gates open at noon (if I heard correctly) and hot laps will start at 3:30 PM with racing at 4:00 PM sharp - no excuses according to DD.....Any further questions please call Joe (405) 990-3990......And it looks as though I will be announcing so if you show up, bring your IPOD to drown out the noise.

I knew the sprint car turnout would be low. 3 cars was a little surprising I guess. By the time you paid the $125 entry/pit pass fee, you were only racing for $75 for a finish as high as 9th place. I see where some other divisions were paid similar but sprint cars cost more to repair if damaged. All that said, I'm glad Clinton is back in action and hopefully they will book some sprint shows for 2010 with a more standardized purse payout. Best of luck to the track for next year!
