Hopefully this means that USAC will not shoot themselves in the ... %^*& "foot" again and not schedule a race here against their own race at Belleville.

Push trucks ....HELL ...... I'd be way more worried to find enough fans to pay their help...let alone the purses and the USAC sanctioning fees.

Last time they did the triple the speeds were so fast the drivers pretty much stayed away from each other and it was a parade - sprint cars at a 147 average, midgets around 140. They originally stated they wouldn't schedule against Knoxville, K'ville push trucks helped out at that first race. Since then they have scheduled against K'ville, like 3rd Turn I wonder if the push trucks will help this time. I'm not a pavement guy and have been there once, don't need to go back.

The original Copper Classic ( the gathering of the clan) was a must see show, even though it was on pavement, and as you'll see here, the Midgets always put on one hell of a show.

I've been the tripleheader at Iowa and it's a breath-taking show. Midgets line up and draft like flat-track motorcycles. The sprint car race was spectacular. The place is one of the nicest I've ever been to, and it's wide and smooth. Once they wore out the pavement a little bit, it's put itself right up with Irwindale and above Richmond in terms of racey pavement tracks...
