One of the truly great racing legends passed away sometime last evening. Loren L Woodke 1924-2009. He influenced my life greatly. He was my mentor, he was my engine builder, but most of all he was my true friend. Prayers go out to his son Bryan and his family, his son Mark and his family and his daughter Sandra and her family.

Rest in Peace old friend

Joe Kouba and Family

I have posted the Visitation times etc. at www.jacksonspeedway.com

Wish I would have made it up there one last time......

So very glad we did the appreciation race last summer, speaking of which, I will try and post the photo tribute we did at the race on the racetrack web-site.

Our thoughts and prayers are with the Woodke Family.

My deepest sympathy to Bryan and the Woodke family. "PaPa" Loren was a special special man who touched the lives of my family with his friendship, support and racing "magic". He will be missed.
