Reading on other forums that the show was canceled after a big crash that ripped a hole in the front-stretch fence. Said Travis Rutz was life flighted.
Prayers for all those involved and their families.

Yeah, Gravel was leading the race and blew a motor and was running the bottom, but everyone was, so I think he tried to get to the outside to get out of the way but his car stopped about halfway up the track, some cars were able to dodge, but they were running 2 and 3 wide and it was really dusty and some had no where to go and Rutz and Throckmorton both hit him, and both got upside down. Throckmorton and Gravel were said to be out of the cars on their own, they took Rutz out in an ambulance. They lifted him to Methodist, keep him in your thoughts.

Our thoughts are out with Travis and the Rutz family. One of the worst wrecks I've seen. Travis is listed as critical in the Neuro unit at Methodist in Indy. We are praying for a speedy recovery.

As of last night @10:00 pm pacific time travis was in critical condition with massive head injuries. Word I received from grapevine was his helmet was cracked in half and had several broken bones as well as the head injuries. the prognosis was not good and rudeen racing chartered a plane to fly his family and G/F there. prognosis was bleak last night and all are hoping and praying for the best. Will post more as info comes in.

I received word today that long time northwest car owner Mike Doyle
(Doyle's Harley Davidson 1hd) is has slipped into a coma after his his
appendix burst and sent poison into his body. This has not been a good
couple of days for the racing community. Our thoughts are with the
Rutz and Doyle families.
