Should have been reduced to 0 laps because of track conditions. That track was not safe to race monster trucks on, neverless sprint cars.

i saw some good racin on it. the track condition was a result of a lot of rain and the people at ADA did a great job reworking it. when the a-feature comes down to a margain of victory of less than 1 foot i would say the track is pretty racey. and the flips were on the "good " end of the track....one was the result of a driver climbing another car....

If that was good racing i missed it . It was unsafe period. Just cause the flips didn' t happen dont' make it safe. Thats just tribute to drivers being cautious. I know the track people did what they could and they worked hard at it and congratulate them on their very hard work. It still should not have been raced on. If you watched the race before the sprint A ,then you should have seen the full body cars in 3and 4 with all 4 wheels off the ground (UNSAFE)

Trust me when I say promoter George is unhappy with how is track turned out as he told me it was the worst track he has ever had there. That is what happens when you get eight inches of rain in eight days. Said if he worked the track one more time he would strike artisan water.

i agree it wasnt perfect but under the conditions we have had in oklahoma lately the track was as good as could be expected. when you have soft ground and then you pound it with 3000 pound full bodied cars with no race suspension and narrow tires, that happens....

Trust me...the track would have been crap rather the 3000 pound full bodied cars would have raced or not. It was a bad track and should not have been raced on by anyone sprinter or full bodied cars. The whole night was a joke!

Don't know, wasn't there but was told there were two yellows and one red flag for the sprints and the tracks weekly support divisions had ZERO cautions in their features.

Just a little "tidbit," from a sprint car fan, that I thought I would post.

this is true, but the cars were going 5 miles an hour and having to come to a standstill in the corners to navigate the sand dunes.

I think George did a decent job with what he had to work with, it was just so wet he probably should have cancelled.

They had to stop the action three times to rework the track, which just got worse each time they did.

There was one red flag for the A Feature in the sprint car division and ZERO yellows. The red was caused when a couple of cars got together trying to lead first in turn one of the first lap. Story can be seen at: www.ocrsracing.com

Sorry the event wasn't what you had hoped it would be for your preference. The 5 mph comment is an over exaggeration of course. Danny Jennings was noted as shooting some of the most amazing rooster tails seen in quite some time. He was flat hauling around the top side! I agree with you that George did a good job with the track conditions that he had to work with. Was the track conditions ideal? No, they weren't. A weeks worth of rain tends to make things change. George and his staff are to be appreciated for his efforts to get the program in. There was a PACKED pit area and a GREAT crowd to be considerate of. Thanks to George and his entire staff for their hard work! You all were awesome! I cant speak for the other classes, but as far as the sprint car division goes, there wasn't one driver, NOT ONE who came to an OCRS official and voiced any concerns about track safety. OCRS looks after driver safety first and foremost..... PERIOD!!!

I know that we have a gun on the sprint cars, and one or more of them was clocked at 132 - 140 going in 3.
