From the IRA rule book -
60 points to show up - 10 for quick time -15 for a heat win - 65 to win the A. 1 passing point per car passed in the heats and the A.

Stan's right - no spare motor, but we knew Cedar Lake was our last race of the season anyway. We're headed off for family vacation this weekend. Best of luck to everyone for the rest of the season!

Seems like a good thread to ask why we dont see many IRA guys at the Nationals.....Group is very similar to the f.a.s.t. group in northern Ohio..... I am sure it is the cost but I have seen guys like Reinke and Whitney be very competitive at Knoxville.....any insight???

I think it has alot to do with risk vs. reward. Some might have a chance of having a decent finish and making some cash but there is always that risk of tearing up some equipment...and at a place like Knoxville there are no light wrecks, they normally do alot of damage.

I'm sure if you wanted to foot the bill for them, they'd be willing to race a lot more.
It's VERY expensive to run a sprint car in any class and you should appreciate that they at least try to race as much as possible.

Hay give Billy the benefit of the doubt.
Fan's of the IRA expect to see billy at the race's.
He's not the kind of guy that is going to turn his back on the IRA or the fan's of the IRA!.
Hay I would love to see him tonight at deer creek,NOT GOING TO HAPPIN!

Congrats to the 17B team!! Could anyone fill me in on how the 21J of John Haeni finished? Also, anyone in Oshkosh know what happened to him in the feature on Friday? he had a DNF and normally runs well there. Thanks in advance

At Oshkosh, John was a victim of a Lap-22 incident in turn 4 involving Bartz, Daun, Hafemann and Mock all tangling into and bouncing off each other.
The 21J was hooked into the work area, but was not out for the restart and another lap was booked when the red was then out for that Biertzer deal on the frontstretch. The team had asked if they could go back out, but was denied.
At Dodge, he timed in 16th, started the Heat on the Pole, fell to 5th (transfer was 6). He started the Feature in that 16th spot and finished 18th still running.
