At Sprintcar Daily we regard the GSCS along with the WoO, ASCoT and All Stars as core sanctions in terms of news coverage. That means that major news from any of the four invariably lands on our front page as a lead story.

Of the four unfortunately the GSCS is the one that we struggle most to get race reports, results and general news from.

As an international newspaper with a readership spread across the USA, Australia, Canada and New Zealand we offer local drivers and their sponsors a means to have their achievements showcased to an international audience.

Our philosophy is that sprint car fans are just the same as in any other sport. They want to read about an event in the days leading up to it. Then they watch it. And then they read about what they watched.

We believe that fans should wake up on a Saturday and Sunday morning to all the latest news from across the globe. That includes the previous night's racing!

If anyone feels strongly enough about this and want to help, you can do so by e-mailing me a short report of GSCS or Civil War events asap after you get home. Just a couple of paragraphs will usually do. And if you have a camera, a photo or two would be fantastic.

You dont need to be a professional journalist or writer. Just a fan with a bit of insight and understanding of sprintcar racing. Even if writing is not your strong point, no prob. We can always "wordsmith" your writing a little.

Help us to showcase California racing to the world!

Thank you for recognizing California sprint car racing!!! Certainly the "magazine" Sprints and Midgets does NOT. I have a real gripe with them in not reporting anything about California race's or driver's. I spoke with Doug Auld about Jonathan Allard being "snubbed" after all he did last year and all I got was "we'll get to it". Daily emails to them does nothing, I have offered to do the interview myself and send it.

Enough about that, I put my soap away! We have serveral great reporter's here that do amazing stories about the coming weeks races and the results when they are over. I will talk to them and if they can't I will see what I can do to help you bring California Sprint Car racing to the "mass's"!!!

Thank you so much for wanting to report out racing, it means alot to us! I can get you a telephone interview with Jonathan Allard if you want, just email me.

Why is USAC/CRA not included as one of your core reporting groups? The list is long of drivers that have gone on to national recognition following drives with either CRA, SCRA or USAC/CRA. If you want California sprint car news, I suggest you contact SCRAFAN's Lance Jennings for his reports on the "wingless warriors" of Southern California. I am sure he would oblige and include photos. Sprintcar dailey has alot of potential and is impressive - I like the newpaper format.

I really like how the website sprintcardaily.com covers sprint car racing in California. Everytime I go to it I can get updated information and pictures from the weekends races. I have with agree with Sandy64 that the sprint car magazines don't give sprint car racing in CA the respect that it deserves. The GSC and Civil War series are two of the top 410 and 360 series on the west coast and I am glad to see they are being put on the map.

Looking forward to the new Golden State King of the
West series schedule!
