Anybody know why Huset's is running on Saturday the 12th instead of Sunday? Patriot Day Season Championship? Seems to me a smart promoter would run Sunday since NOSA is running in ND and the Jerry Richert Memorial is at Cedar Lake that same evening.

Husets and smart promoters should not be stated in the same paragraph.

And how many cars from North Dakota and Wisconsin would come for a SUNDAY night race?
I believe they are banking on Knoxville cars.

Oh yeah, the invisible Knoxville cars. Just need to ask yourself, "have you been Rubenized lately"

They would get zero cars fromWI no matter what day it was. ND might be represented by a couple of cars. I was just dissapointed to see that Husets has a race on the same day as the Jerry Richert Memorial. I believe Jerry Jr won a couple of track championships in the Johnson 81at Huset's and Jerry Sr was a frequent visitor to the Sioux Falls area tracks as well. Too bad they couldn't have picked a different day, that's all I'm saying.

Hopefully most of the K-ville cars will come to Cedar Lake for the Richert Memorial. Many of them have had some good success at this race. T-MAC has it on his schedule. I would bet he will go to Cedar Lake too even though it's presumably closer for him to go to Huset's he has supported and won this race in the past. The Richert Memorial is the highest paying race on the IRA schedule and the Richert family and friends have incentives through out the field like extra pay and race car parts. It is one of my favorite races of the year. Forget Huset's, come to Cedar Lake everybody!

Simple math, Patriot Day has free addmission for fans witch is paid by a couple different sponsors. So the less cars in the pits is less money they have to pay out. But complain all you want but how many tracks offer a free night of 410 and 360 racing?

My money says T-Mac comes to Eagle. 5 Grand to win is nothing to ignore. The Nebraska Cup is the place to be on the 12th.

$2001.00 night before at Rising City and both are Midwest races. I would think that some heavy hitters are going to go for this. McCarl, Brian Brown, maybe Hockett, Alley, Dover.

The Huset's race is paying more to win for these following guys for taking the Back Row Challenge thus far during the year: McCarl, Winters, Madsen, Garner, Dobmeier, and Wolfgang.
$7,500 to win for those guys since they took the challenge this year. I know the Richert has a lot of history and other things going on with the event, but it will be hard for Madsen and McCarl to head to Wisco with that much money on the line.

It does say on McCarl's web page that he will be at Cedar Lake on Sept 12. Not sure if that has been there all year or not though cause 7500.00 is a lot to pass up.

This isn't something they just now thought of. They've been running the Saturday night after Labor Day since 2004.
