It only allows me to post eight options so if it is Tri-State Speedway post that here.
Sorry Dave, we can't put Knoxville Raceway as it has to be an Oklahoma track.
What is your favorite Saturday night race track? Do not vote just because of being biased but vote because you actually like watching/racing at that track and wish you could do it each and every single Saturday night.
Be honest, just a courious question to see what the feedback is.
Thanks!!!

I got kicked out of that go cart track a few times. Me and my brother were coming around that last corner near the start and he gave me a fender (what would be a fender) and spum me out. lol

My vote would go to Outlaw Motor Speedway but there not on the list. I guess they race on Fridays. If you look at Davids front page that track it seems to all ways have something going on from Nascar drivers to all kinds of great shows. Im going to have to give some hard thinking now to pick from.

Port City Raceway Tulsa, OK ~ Not on the list?
May need a couple more lists of 8 to fit all the Saturday night tracks that run in Oklahoma on
that voting list.
Will Rogers Raceway in Claremore, 3Ds in Haskell, Red Dirt Raceways in Meeker, which are other Oklahoma tracks that
run on Saturdays, along with Little River Speedway in Nashoba Oklahoma.

Is Red Dirt Raceways the same as Brill Motor Speedway or is there another one in Meeker that I dont know about. I grew up in Meeker and that was the only track in the area though it has had several different names the past 10 or 15 years. And is Little River still having races? I just happened to be in that neck of the woods about a 2 years ago for work and went to check out the track and the whole complex looked like it hadn't seen any action for a few years, looked pretty rundown and grown over. Not doubting you AMP, just curious.

Red Dirt Raceways is new in the Meeker area.
Little River runs Saturday nights, according to Lonnie Eubanks with Sand
Trax, they have large crowds and good car counts plus Quads on select
Saturday nights. They raced there last Saturday night.
Port City Raceway hosted the second Lucas Oil ASCS2 Races this weekend.
With a record crowd and around 110 cars on Friday and 115 on Saturday.
While the facility is for sale, as are many racetracks and businesses every day,
it is not closing that I am aware of.

Sorry my mistake it is not closing but it is up for sale.
PORT CITY RACEWAY FOR SALE!
Owner/Promoter Aaron Lemmons has announced that he is placing the long time micro sprint dirt rack in Catoosa, Okla. up for sale. As for his reasons for selling at this time Lemmons replied: "Well, we bought this track in the winter of 2003 and Beverly (wife) and I feel its just time to do some different things. I still work full time and I have a grandson that will be racing soon. I just think I would like to free my time up for when he starts racing. We have made a lot of friends and we have had a great time promoting this place. It's just the right time." Anyone who wishes to make inquiries into the tracks purchase can contact Aaron at 438-7856 or 371-8448. This comes from the main hoseheads site. Under the oklahoma section.

As with several racetracks in Oklahoma RUJO / Port City has had several
owners and promoters in the past 35 plus years of operation.
Originally owned and built by the RUJO
Company , who were Rudy and John Foust, the original John in the
RUJO business also owned Honest John's Records and Tapes a famous
record shop and Head Shop in Tulsa. 500 acres of land were held by the RUJO
company where the track is now and the surrounding industrial park.
But the JO was also another John who
had the vision and with his hands and helpers from the racing community built
the facility. At first there was just the track, with no grandstands,
Later some of the stands that are still there came from the closed DeAnza
Speedway located in Jenks, Oklahoma, along with
the lights. Later the track sat empty with no activity, until Buddy Breashears
re-opened it as the track promoter. Believe the next in line promoter was Emmet
Hahn who promoted micros, Honda Odysseys, Motorcycles and Karts there.
Later Hahn moved on to Kellyville where he built the first Creek County Speedway,
which ran the same similar classes as RUJO did.
Next owner of the track was Steve and Paula Carbone, Steve drove the Crietz and
Greer Top Fuel Dragster with AHRA and NHRA titles.
Carbone sold the facility to Ted Holt Jr. who made some great improvements to
the facility including enlarging the pit area, addition of new fencing
and gates, additional paved pit pads, new pit gate building, new registration office
and Beer sales area. Holt sold it to Lemmons. Lemmons has added four new
grandstands, improved the concession stands, upgraded the track lighting and PA
systems, expanded the parking area and purchased additional land for parking.
Lemmons owns and operates the track currently.
Beauty of an independent racetrack, is all the improvements belong to the owner,
unlike a County owned Fairgrounds, or leased facility.

thats a pretty damn good succession of read AMP. thanks for the info.
I hope Port City stays as good as it is. Never went there before this year - but attended the 2nd night of the Non Wing Nationals and the Inaugural ASCS2 races there. The NWN was not that great - some good racin' - but to take an intermission in the cold past midnite when still have 4 features left - that sucked. However, the Inaugural ASCS2 races were awesome. We had intended all through last week to go to PCR saturday - but ended up opting for ASCS Sooner Region action at Lawton. In hindsight - should have went to Port City. Lawton wasn't terrible - it ws just Lawton. The quality of racing that track produced 5 years or more ago - is completely gone. It wasn't a horrible show - they had a great lineup, track just went away. PCR however - is an ultra racy joint and ASCS2 is a great series. Much to a disagreement of many - on par I have seen MUCH better RACING in the micro ranks than in the bigger sprints or anything else this year. But still had a great time at Lawton conversing with friends and such (cheeseburgers are always stellar there too).
I do hope that PCR stays together. even under potentially new ownership. I hope that place/show never goes downhill. I hope they continue to run ASCS2 weekends up there. I'm west of OKC so it kind of takes specials to get me up there. But I love the place - I love the atmosphere there. It's one of the best atmospheres I have seen at a track this year. I like that the atmosphere is on the up and up at I-44 too. Thats probably my favorite track outside of SFS (which has always been racing home for me and my family). The best races I have seen this year were at micro tracks - those being ASCS2 at I-44 in March, the Inaugural ASCS at PCR, and the I-44 Mini Sprint Nationals. Those are the 3 best shows I have seen this year. The Steve King Memorial in Jetmore, KS was probably 4th. Creek County's Bandit show that rained out was probably the last non micro race that could have cracked that top 3 lol. - Maybe Short Track Nationals if I make it there, we'll see. I'm just sayin' - micro racing is much better than perceived. It's perceived as lesser because the tracks are not as big, and speeds are not as great - but for race fans looking for TRUE RACING - not just speed junkies - micro's will deliver on a suprisingly better scale than many bigger tracks/classes. It's hard to beat Non-wing 600's on a tacky smooth surface at I-44 (with a cushion up near the fence at some point).
I like ASCS2 at I-44 so much that I am likely going to sell my ticket for the OU vs BYU game in Dallas - to attend that next sat. night ASCS2 show at I-44 (9-5). go figure right? lol. Hopefully ASCS2 runs I-44 on a different weekend than what is currently scheduled (10-10) - they should do it 10-17, it makes a lot of sense to do it that weekend. Past that - I look forward to the November Sprint Shootout at Cowtown and the Tulsa Shootout. Those should be a blast.

Fan's get to vote also. It's all ways about lawton to you. If there was a way to get all Oklahoma tracks Friday or Saturday I would vote but the best track this season is not on there.
