Heavy persistent rain with a ton more on the radar. They rescheduled for Saturday September 19. For those of you who live in the upper Midwest and are fans of the other classes, that's the final night of both the WISSOTA 100 at Huron and the Legendary 100 at Cedar Lake. I'm locked into the Legendary 100.

And the USMTS Modifieds at North Central Speedway in Brainerd, Minnesota. That weekend is jam packed with specials in the upper Midwest. The Outlaws at Deer Creek will still do well because for the most part the Sprint Car fan base is not the same people attending those other events. The UMSS 360 Sprints are running at Cedar Lake that night but there isn't much crossover to the 410's so it won't have any effect. I went to Cheater's Day last year and I don't think DCS and Husets will have much of an effect on each other either.

What a weekend it would be now if that Friday the 18th show would be picked up by Huset's to fill the open Outlaw date. That was the rumor from the get-go but nothing has been announced, so it must be dead?

"track officials are working on a rain date"... they must still be thinking since July 3rd. Sure would be nice if they went to Spencer, then Husets, and then DCS.

Seems to me like Husets does not want a rain date.

Hopefully, they also bring back the "Underdog Award" on Sept. 19...
$1000 award / bonus for highest finishing car that finished in the C main or lower at the Knoxville Nationals - not counting the transfers to the B main $1000 award / bonus for the highest finishing car that is either top 10 in points for the 2009 Knoxville 410 class or the top 10 in points for the 2009 IRA points $500 award / bonus for the 2nd highest finishing car that meets any of the above 3 categories.

so it takes two hours for DCS to reschedule with a rain date, abut Husets has been thinking for 2 months. ? Makes me think the 18th is a long shot. Would make sense though. Would get a few more cars for sat, possibly.

I take photos for the Cedar Lake Speedway and the UMSS Sprint Series. On September 19 the UMSS will be running on one of Cedar Lake's biggest nights of the year, the final night of the Legendary 100. I'm locked into the 100 one so I won't be able to make it to DCS.
