I would say in order: Donny, Joey, S. Smith, TK, T-Dub and T. McCarl. Before race started my pick was T-mac but he starts pretty far back. I am of NorCal bias!

Schatz is favorite, Joey and Stevie have a legitimate shot, as does Tyler Walker.

I'd say Schatz is still a heavy favorite and probably a light favorite IF he blows a motor in the scramble. 40 laps is plenty of time for Schatz; especially how much better he has been over the second half of the Saturday feature compared to everyone else in recent history.
Schatz biggest threats IMO:
Smith: Has been solid all year and with his calm and calculated style you can feel comfortable that he will avoid accidents in lap traffic. Smith is a vetran and has (although it has been a while) been in this position before so he shouldn't be overwhelmed with the starting spot.
Kaeding: That 15 car is gonna intimidate many guys coming through the field, but TK isn't going to be impressed. He has as much talent as anyone in a sprint car and is plenty aggressive to fight punch for punch with Schatz. I only questions his patience to let the track come to him over the final stage of the race. I figure the bottom (as usual; at least in 3&4) will be the place to be after lap 20 and I'm not sure Kaeding can run enough perfect laps down there to beat Schatz.
Saldana: I'm a Joey fan so I'm attempting not to get over optomistic. I think Saldana needs to start on the front row and needs as many green flag laps (w/out caution) as possible. Joey always runs well on qualifying night, but I was glad to see he was getting better as the race went on Thursday night. Horsepower isn't a problem and he knows how to drive Knoxville, but Joey (like TK) isn't "Schatz-good" on the bottom and will need a bit of a lead when Schatz makes his run.
Just my opinion.

i am die hard schatz fan BUT joey is the one to beat along with stevie if the track will go wide and stay green its going to be one of the front row guys but this is knoxville and plenty of things can happen in 40 laps a lot of varibales will play in. should be one of the best races this year after 40 laps we will all know who will be the 49th champion.

Donnie has to be the heavy favorite. I like Stevie's chances and I also like Dale Blaney's chances. Blaney looked like he really wanted Schatz at the Kings Royal and damn near got it done. Dale definitely has the motor to do it if they can keep it hooked for all 40 laps. TK and Walker will make it interesting, but I agree with others about probably not enough patience for 40 laps from these two.
