Just a little under two months until the first of eight winter nationals/fall nationals take place to wrap up the 2009 race season. And as has been thought of the past several years, this time I am going to try to start earlier.
IF none of these tracks want to schedule an NCRA show for their season enders, would you track promoters, modified drivers or sport modified drivers want to participate in a Winter Nationals/Fall Nationals point fund/contingency type deal?
We would go by track rules and we would have our own point system for "B" features and "A" features. The only question is, would you recommend or be willing to pay me or an official who wants to go in with me on this $10 at each race with that money plus the sponsorships we get towards the point fund?
Email me your thoughts and ideas. Track promoters, if your interested and want to do something, please email me. You won't have to do anything if you don't want to as these drivers will show up and race. This is just if you want to "chip in" so to speak. Potential sponsors, if your interested in donating cash and/or contingencies for the top fifteen in the point standings (with requirments on number of shows to attend) please email me. All drivers, if your interested and have your ideas or thoughts, please email me as well.
Like I stated, I do hope some tracks will schedule NCRA for their winter nationals but this is a "just in case not" idea. Below are the Oklahoma tracks and their Winter Nationals/Fall Nationals dates:
September 25-26 Oklahoma Sports Park - Ada
October 2-3 Brill Motor Speedway - Meeker
October 2-3 Lawton Speedway - Lawton
October 9-10 State Fair Speedway - OKC
October 16-17 Lake Country Speedway - Ardmore
October 24-25 Enid Speedway Park - Enid
October 31 Creek County Speedway - Sapulpa
October 31 Outlaw Motor Speedway - Muskogee
November 7 Tri-State Speedway - Fort Smith
November 13-15 Clinton Speedway - Clinton
Tracks I don't have information for are: Elk City, Siloam Springs
David Smith Jr.
