I was at the track tonight and the crew chief on KKR 19 was let go of his duties today. Justin Adams was wrenching on the car. I hope things turn around for Craig Dollansky and the rest of that team.

I listened to the race tonight on dirt vision and they interviewed Kasey Kahne at the track, wonder if the right wheel coming off in the feature had anything to do with this?

I hope things get turned around for this team. The person that was let go was Mike, and I don't think the wheel coming off was the other guys fault, I was told last night that it was a freak thing that just happened. Mike and Craig has been together a long time , this will be hard on the team I'm sure. Let's hope the best for Craig and the team to get it together and move on. I really like this team, and follow them when they are up here in my neck of the country.

Well hopefully things get better and not worse, with the big races just around the corner something needs to change, Craig is much better than what this year has been.

There is something about the second car teams. Craig Dollansky is the second car to Joey and he struggles. Kraig Kinser is the second car to Schatz and he struggles. Are the second car teams more of a R & D team?

Actually, the 20 car was around way before Donny and TSR came together. Wouldn't that make the 15 the second car to the 20? haha

2 1/2 years. Woodring started out 2007 with Becca Anderson on tour and like 10 of the other 35 teams that started the season with the intention of running fulltime, they dropped off tour about 3 weeks into the season and Woodring parked the team and went to wrench for Dollansky 7. They finished the year in the 7 and then in 2008 Dollansky joined forces with Woodward 2 and now KKR 19 in 2009.

Oh yeah, I forgot about Becca Anderson, didn't she get hurt and that's why the team dropped off?

I believe the right rear also came off of the 19 car at Lawrenceburg last month , dont know if that was a freak incident too or if that was a mechanical failure. Ive heard of driving the wheels off of it before, but cmon, Id like to see em stay on for a change.

Craig hit the wall coming outta turn 4 @ Lawrenceburg and made contact with right rear wheel and tire...Thats why it failed when he entered into turn 1..............while qualifying...

I talked to Mike Woodring for about 10-15 minutes in Lucas Wolf's trailer. Mike was helping Lucas last night and has already had a couple of offers. Mike will be back soon with a deal in the works. He is a very good crew chief with about 20 years of experience. He is a super nice guy and he will be back. Mike had no ill feelings and he spoke well of Kasey Kayne and Craig Dollansky. He could not have been any more classy. For some reason the team struggled and KK made a decision to make a change. Mike understands that and he'll be back.
