A feature- Modifieds - 1)Bryan Rowland 2)Rodney Sanders 3)Randy Timms 4)James Longpine

A feature - Sportmods - 1)Chad Mcnamara 2) Earl Whitley 3) Travis Johnson

A feature - streetstock - 1) Ryan Bohnstedt ( I think.... missed this race while at concession stand)

cant remember the rest.... had around 26 sportmods and 17 mods

Overall it was very good racing, the track held up and there was passing. Travis Johnson went to the back of A lineup with a flat tire and came up to third...

What happened to the sixty plus sport mods that were mouthed on here that was suppose to be there? Hopefully they had a good crowd in the stands for a change.

I didnt see that good of passing going on. Johnson came up through the pack because there were wrecks and slow cars. but thats just my opinion. I think it was a one lane track

I dont recall anyone stating that there would be 60 plus sportmods.....

I do believe that racing on sunday evening may have hurt the car count a little bit...

It was a good nite at the track and a good fireworks show.

David, you shouldnt be upset that this wasnt an NCRA show...it would have cost a lot more money to have an NCRA show here and the track is barely getting by(for what reason, I dont know).

i think the track was about as bad as you can get for the grandstands. that was probably very boring to watch. as far as racing on it, hard to pass, hard on tires, but everyone had to race on the same track. the people running the track seemed to do a real good job last night

Has nothing to do with NCRA at all, that is my "second hat" talking, which I guess I need to quit wearing two hats as people start trying to connect the two.

A history lesson:

As probably half of these tidbits regulars know, tidbits was founded via a monthly sprint car column I did for the now defunct Sprint Car News. In that I stated alot of opinions and thoughts, kinda like OKCfan12 but only I was more brutal. I told my thoughts, spoke my mind and was quite mouthy.

After several times of pissing off the wrong people, and I mean the wrong people, ASCS coordintator Tommie Estes, Jr. gave me a talking to and since I have tried to keep it quite. I listened to Tommie as not only for him I was working for on the weekends but Tommie is the one guy I respect in the world of sprint car racing than almost anybody else.

That is where the two hats come into play. One being a "tidbiter" who speaks and says what is on my mind and the other just happens to be the wanna be "NCRA press" guy, who does his best to help out the series and our drivers.

how would it cost the track more to have a ncra sport mod race that pays $500 to win over what they had paying $1000 to win? and the ncra modifieds pays $1000 to win instead of $1500 to win...

the ncra has been had close to 40 cars at every sport mod and modified show. even on the wednesday show in meeker... i know their would of been alot more people that would of raced to get ncra points.....

simple economics my friend.....

do you have any idea how much it cost to host an ncra event? I believe around 5000.00 for a sportmod show, if im wrong please correct me DAVID SMITH JR. I would bet the Enid payout was no where near 5000. So that would be the reason, it really isnt that hard to figure out.

You can bet that if it was even close to the same that Enid would have did the NCRA deal...

the way i see it they payed out $4000.00 just for the A. Sport Mods 1st $1000, 2nd $600, 3rd $400, 4th $300, 5th $200, 6th-20th $100. I don't know what they paid for the b feature? i believe u are right it cost $5000-5100 to have a ncra event, but it brings in more cars so that means more cars more pit pass will be sold.

You need to wake up fool.... Lonnie works for James Longpine not Bud. I have nothing against James at all. He has made Enid one of the best track around this state. The on;y mistake he has made is the person he has running it for him. You can only tell some many people " If you don't like it go race somewhere else"........ by the way I have been racing just not in Enid. I went to Meeker last Friday and Saturday and OKC on the 3RD of july.. Yes its costing me more to race other places but less bull.

you all can take up for enid all you want , bottom line is something is wrong there , whether its longpine,or lonnie , $1500 to win and 17 cars and $1000 to win sport mod and only 27 cars , that terrible any way you look at it, elk city had more cars friday night and a less purse , so you all do the math , enid is in a world of hurt

wow, elk city had 8 more sportmods and 2 more modifieds... I didnt realize it was a competition to see who could get the most cars. Enid raced on sunday evening which dropped the count a bit. I wont argue about this, I just want to see Enid get back to where it once was, nothing more!!!!

By the way, I did predict the 40 cars and I was off.... so what, who cares??????
