Since i know everyone is wanting a new console game, how bout we start a "petition" or email a few companies and ask if they have interest in a new racing game and throw around some ideas with them. What are some good game companies to do this to? Maybe they will see that there is a lot of interest and that it could potentially make them a lot of money.
Ea Sports, THQ, Big Ant, Infogrames(if they are still around), Activision
Maybe email some series that could have interest?
give me ideas please

While I appreciate the enthusiasm... it's a return on investment issue here.
Look at how well the sprint car games have sold versus the dime a dozen "shoot em up" or "Grand Theft Auto" or "kill those zombies!" games.
I've bought every dirt racing game for PS2, a few for the computer... and it doesn't make a drop in the 55 gallon drum of sales the video game companies make for every action/adventure/military type game that is a big seller.
I'd love a new dirt racing game with more tracks... different tracks... able to create my own tracks... better local series (run the region you want... more races in a season...etc.)... yes we could give them what we want but they wouldn't sell enough to get excited.
Sorry for the pessimism... I'm being realistic.

EA Sports dropped NASCAR, what is the likelihood of sprint cars?
too small of a market, most places can't even get enough people to fill the stands...
