Don't know what or how I did it but am finally able to post on my own website. So see there, you all aren't the only ones.
In case you haven't read the hoseheads main sprint car message board, former USAC champion and ESPN broadcaster Larry Rice has passed away. Larry brought driver insight and was a great analyst for ESPN during Thursday night Thunder and Open Wheel Wednesdays. A big time USAC sprint car fan and really didn't care too much for the winged sprint cars.
Then again there are those of you, who are old enough, who remember Larry as the guy who stuffed Donnie Crawford into the turn one guardrail back in 1986 during the USAC/NCRA Silver Crown Challenge event. It was a prelude to the Rich Vogler stuffing of Jon Johnson down the backstretch later that night in the "A" feature. (I have that night on tape by the way).
ALSO, the front page of this website has been updated!!!

I remember that night also David.
Sad to hear about Larry Rice. I loved listening to him on Thursday Night Thunder.

David, I was going to post this but like you I can not start a post. To some people that might be a good thing lol. I enjoyed Larry's breakdown of the races and how he could bring a racers aspect to the audience. He was one of the reason I would turn into the Thurs. night thunder races. Which at the time was the best around.
Could I borrow your tape of the Challenge and make a copy of it for my collection.

I saw in the obituares where Eddie Brookshire passed away. I think he ran the factory division back in the 80's, I was thinking he might even have won a championship.

Jenkins was on it for awhile. Dave Despain was the pit reporter and in the booth with Rice was Gary for the life of me I can not remember his last name.

Wasn't one of the Bettenhausen's involved in the broadcast of Thunder ???
I wish Thurs Night Thunder was available on DVD.
It is truly a shame I thought SPEED would actually be a racing channel & carry some kind of programming like this.
Instead we get rice burners, jap bikes, & humpty-hump low rider crap.
