Darn....I was hoping it was gonna pay $2200 like it did last year (what I was told)....if so we were heading that way. We'll have to make a choice I guess!
That was the intention, but cash-based support (not meant to include all of everyone's time and energy) has been less. BUT, as in past runnings of the memorial, there will be a lot of money and prizes adding to the feature purse.
We're hoping you decide to venture to Brainerd (and Koellah the night before). The racing will be good, the winner (and others) rewarded, and then there is all the food, beverage, and arm chair racing afterwards.
We'll just see what happens....but we were planning on it already. I hope others take a look at the history of this race and the family involved and decide to chip in to keep the tradition of a great paying race alive. Many thanks to the Kouba family and all those who have supported them and this race over the years!
Once I have a chance to visit with Joe in the pits at Jackson on Friday night, I will also be increasing the 2nd, 3rd and 4th place pay positions in addition to what I have already committed to. Look for more details following this weekend.
Greg Parent has raised 2nd to 1000, 3rd to 700 and 4th to 500. Thanks so much Greg for your continued help. Bevlor Utilities[ Jerry Richert Jr.] has also jumped in again to help with pay back monies. Thank you Sonny for your continued support also.
