NCRA Sport Modified Date Change/One Added FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE - May 6, 2009 - Midwest City, Oklahoma - Officials with the O'Reilly/National Championship Racing Association have announced one date change on their 2009 schedule and have also added one date for their new sport modified division. Both taking place at Caney Valley Speedway in Caney, Kansas. The originally scheduled Saturday night, May 23rd event has been moved to Saturday night, June 6th. In addition, series and track officials have added a Saturday night, August 22 event to the schedule. Caney Valley Speedway is a 1/4 mile, semi-banked clay oval that sits just across the Oklahoma/Kansas state line, 0.8 mile west of the junction of US 75 and US 166 on CR 1600. The next event on the O/Reilly/NCRA sport modified tour will be held on Saturday night, May 30th, at Brill Motor Speedway in Meeker, Oklahoma. This event will be the second event on the 2009 schedule. Forty drivers from three states took part in the divisions opener back in March with Amarillo, Texas driver Donny Raney picking up the victory. All events pay $500 to the Cherokee Casino-Resort "A" feature winner with $100 just starting the twenty car finale. All "B" feature non-qualifiers will earn $50. Entry fee is $25. Thus far, eight events are scheduled.
