Nice to see that the 20 car kept its string of top 24's going this past weekend with a solid 21st place run. All in all, it was a good weekend as the show in Soo Falls got canceled and the 20 team surprisingly wasn't forced to use a provisional at Knoxville, therefore giving them at least 1 to use once they arrive in Pennsylvania. I think that maybe the 20 team should try changing seat-belt manufacturers, or maybe try changing the powder-coat guys that paints the 20 car's frames. Someting else they could possibly look at is changing the torsion-bar bushings, as they have pretty much changed everything else on the car and are still getting the same lack-luster results. Maybe the could get the old Gambler chassis guys to weld them up a car and try that? Or maybe the could CHANGE THE DRIVER? Oh, that's right. We are still waiting for the driver and the team to gel. How much longer until the results start showing? And no, I don't own the team, don't own a car and heck, I didn't sleep in a holiday inn express last night. But I do know that if I did own the team, with the way the economy is today, and sponsors getting harder and harder to find, that I would be looking to find someone out there that could give the car better results. Then again, what do I know?

I dont think the 20 cars exhistance is purely on performance rather than the names involved with the team, TSR-Kinser must do it for Bass Pro Shops Marketing cordinators? All tax write off apparently? (well good portion) Running a medioker Outlaw team across the united states is just a game for BPS and finishing performance is a after thought ? , lets face it, in todays economy the ability to fund a team and realistically find a profit is absolutly impossible , take in consideration payroll, equipment/tools,chassis,engines and upkeep, fuel up and down the highway, hotels ect, Im surprized anybody can make it? , without the mighty sponsorship dollar it would be impossible , who wouldnt love to be in that position with no pressure to perform , and still keep a ride. JMO

On the other side,in his defence , when he has run well the past couple years , he looks choppy and not as smooth as he did with the family owned car, almost nervous for some reason, lets remember this guy did win the Knoxville Nationals, proubly not a hoax, He can run, keeping in mind and speeking from experiance , when a guy gets in a slump it takes forever to dig yourself out it seems, alot of drivers taste victory and takeoff from that point on , the dabbeling in asphalt has hurt him in my opinion, when your just a tic off running with the outlaws, your way off ! the results are brutal ! so, here I sit ,"on the fence" with this topic, thats just me, take the good with the bad , I dont see anything changing soon with the 20 car , if so, it should have already happened , I hope he can pull out of the tailspin and zip up some of the naysayers , Hey, a new weekly winner is just what I ordered , and that is JMO.

Great response dirtdevil.

As for dirtracer84, why can't you let it go? Just put the keyboard down and walk away! Its all good. Your on here numerous times posting that the 20 tsr car should find a better driver. Im not so sure it is the driver, I mean no one has done shit in that car for several years. It is not the same 20 team/car that Lasoski drove to 2 championships and a few Knoxville wins. The tsr 20 car may have some sort of lower budget and also may still be a R/D team like it was when Paul was driving it. Who knows. As a fan it is a little sad to see one of what "seems to be" one of the best funded teams out there run in the back, but hey what can you do, cry about it every week on a sprintcar forum? No thanks.

Tony has proven he can win as a driver and owner, so lets just assume he knows wtf he is doing and leave it at that.

Put Bob Bennett in it. Get Shaver to build whats left in the world of Ford sprint engines and go out behind Allens go kart shop for a chassis and see what happens.

Luna's Ford engine style that won 2 WoO titles and 3
Kings Royals before a weight rule against the best EVER
in their prime and now DOMINATES super dirt late model
racing is no longer allowed/wanted in a WoO sprint
car.... Was Luna a miracle worker?

I had to sign up and post some replies since I read this. On another board after Daryn Pittman got released I said if the #20 team doesn't pick up some this year I think Daryn will get the ride. I still stand by that. It's nothing against Kraig or anything like that. I just think that team should be doing way better than what it is right now. I mean 12th in points? They started off decent but here lately it's teen finishes. I was at Knoxville Saturday and yes the racing up front was awesome and that's where most of my attention was, but I didn't even notice the #20 car. Got home and saw where they started 17th and finished 21st. The #20 car has always been one of my favorite rides, no matter who's in the seat. I just hate seeing the car finish towards the back alot more than what they should in my opinion. So 3 questions remain, 1) Will Tony make a switch? 2) When if at all, during the season or after? 3) Who would take over? I just have a gut feeling Pittman will get the ride, but when who knows.

Did you ever think that maybe just maybe Kraig is under contract to Chevy (from the truck days) and he is in till the end of the year per Chevy.

I would guess that if they were unhappy with him, they would not release him till the end of the year, which I believe is the end of his contract to Chevy

Why should I let it go? Because you said to? And as far as your other statements, it is rather obvious that you have no clue. You contradicted yourself about 5 times in your past response. You say "The tsr 20 car may have some sort of lower budget and also may still be a R/D team like it was when Paul was driving it." But in the same paragraph you say "As a fan it is a little sad to see one of what "seems to be" one of the best funded teams out there run in the back" So which one is it? I'll answer that for you. It is one of the best funded teams out there, no doubt. They have given Kraig everything he needs/wanted to win with. They gave him his brand of chassis (about 5 dozen of them so far, be it new or repaired), they have given him about 4 different shock packages, heck, they even brought in his old crew-chief from the 11K days. Did they do any of this for the driver he replaced? Nope! They head to Eldora, which is the bosses track this weekend, then off to posse-land. He had really pick up the pace if he plans on running all the A-mains on the East coast. Facts are facts and that is all I have mentioned. Everything you say is pure speculation. Instead of handing me the tissue, perhaps you should tend to yourself.

This is why I did not respond a few weels ago. This ain't no piss'n match.

The term"seems to be" refers to what the general consciences is on the 20 car, and maybe it is one of the best funded teams, hardly a contradiction. In any case let it go, its not your bill.
