"The Hawk" Darren Hagen got airborne in turn three of his heat race Saturday night at Eldora Speedway and was transported to a nearby hospital for further evaluation. The current National Midget Point Leader is doing well and will be live to talk about the accident and give a status report on his health and recovery time. The Western Midgets headlined at Jim Naylor's Ventura Raceway and with a last lap pass, Mat Mitchell won his 2nd career Western Midget Feature event. The kid from California will call in to talk about it.
It hasn't been long since Jerry Coons Jr. won his first event at Eldora Speedway but Saturday night he was back in victory lane for the second time in the Don Branson/Jud Larson Classic and will be live to talk about giving the Hoffman Team its 73rd USAC Sprint Win. Nic Faas who made his first career start at Eldora finishing an impressive 10th place will also come by to talk about moving back to Indiana to race for the summer.
