Fans help out injured racer. From the Enid News & Eagle by Cheryl Licklider. Local racing fans showed
their support for injured Enid driver Kenny Adams at last week's card at Enid Speedway Park. Fans
raised $431.50 for Adams, who was injured last week in a crash at the I-44 Speedway in Oklahoma City.
Enid Speedway Park officials matched the donation. He was transported to St. Anthony's Hospital.
'They put him in a back brace and he is up and walking around,' said car sponsor Linda Richardson.
'He feels 100 percent better and we are excited about that.' Adams was released from Oklahoma City
St. Anthony's Hospital earlier this week. His condition is improving, but faces a long road to recovert.
Platinum Motorsports and the Adams Family want to thank everyone who contributed to the fund,
Richardson said. Adams was laid off from his job recently and the funds will help them enormously.
