After Mother Nature derailed Goldesberry Motorsports planned races with the Lucas Oil American Sprint Car Series last weekend in Oklahoma, the Springfield, Illinois based team looked forward to getting back to competition this past Friday evening at their "home" track, as the Ideal Ready Mix Sprint Invaders were to open their season at the Morgan County Speedway in Jacksonville, Illinois. However, persistent rain Thursday afternoon and evening left the Morgan County Fairgrounds pit area too muddy, forcing promoters Billy and Kim West to cancel the event.
18 year old Jordan next plans to try his hand in World of Outlaw competition April 17-18 when the series makes stops at the Paducah International Raceway on Friday, and Pevely, Missouri's lightning fast I-55 Raceway on Saturday. These events will be the initial forays in "410" sprint competition in the '09 campaign for the K&N Filters, Mothers Wax, Ultrashield, Redline Oil, Goodridge, NGK and Simpson ,PPG, Union Boilermaker Gear, Performance Truck Accessories #65.
