David Smith, Jr. NCRA Press (405) 740-4769 Wednesday Night on Tap for NCRA Oklahoma Mods at Brill FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE (David Smith, Jr.) - March 30, 2009 - Midwest City, Oklahoma - It will be a special Wednesday night edition for the new O'Reilly/NCRA Oklahoma modified division as the series makes its first ever trip to the quarter mile clay oval of Brill Motor Speedway in Meeker, Oklahoma on April 8th. The event will be the second of the season for NCRA's newest division, which made its debut back on March 21st in Elk City with Amarillo, Texas driver Gene Weaver taking home the $1000 to win Cherokee Casino-Resort feature finale. Chris Roach of Warr Acres and Robert Mayfield of Clinton sit atop the point standings (305 pts) with Weaver sitting just five points back in third. Ponca City driver Casey McClaskey sits fourth in points, fifteen points out of the lead with Bingers Jayman Gregory fifth in the point standings. Sixth through tenth in points are Pat McVicker, Logan Cabbell, Cam Case, Thomas Tillison, Jr. and Bobby Smith, Jr. Over thirty drivers from throughout the state are expected. The tracks weekly divisions of e-mods and factory stocks will also compete. Gates will open at 4:30 PM with racing set to begin at 7:00 PM. From I-40, Brill Motor Speedway is located off of exit 186 on Hwy. 18, then sixteen miles north. Coming from the Turner Turnpike, the track is located ten miles south of Hwy. 66 on Hwy. 18. The Wichita, Kansas based National Championship Racing Association is entering its 39th consecutive season of sanctioning dirt track racing throughout the Midwest and this year will see six divisions compete in a combined five different states. Among the divisions that NCRA sanctions are the 360 sprint cars, modifieds and late models with the new Oklahoma modified, sport modified and 305 divisions debuting this season.
