The Motorcycle rider was quite entertaining especially when he left the racing surface after his Hot Lap session and found the BIG mudhole that the water truck left and proceeded to find the tractor tires at the end of the 1/2 mile guardrail. Very Entertaining.

Some guy brought out an old bike and made a couple of "hot laps" sunday at SFS. Not on the half mile. The only power equipment needed there is a mower.

Yah, did you guys see him load on the trailer? That was almost a disaster too. He almost landed on the seat if his tow vehicle when the front tire came to a sudden stop at the nose of the trailer. My brother said"holy shit!, did you see that"? LMAO Guy was brave that's for sure.

Sounds like he was more exciting off the track than on it, he sure slapped those tractor tires a ton after hitting the mudhole.

No he was using the three ring binder.
Actually, he wasn't going fast enough to make enough noise I don't think.

That was only hilarious after I knew he was ok. But, here's how it went. I went to the bottom to take my son to the bathroom and this guy on a motorcycle comes out and I'm thinking cool, we get to see a flat tracker. He takes a lap then gets the green , but never really reaches "top speed" or even a speed high enough to warrant a slide. He would gun it coming out of a corner then down the straights but it was hard on the binders while entering a corner. He basically joy rided around for about four laps, maybe he paid his money to go alone so that is fine I guess but we spectators were all looking at each other like what the heck is this guy doing? He finally gets the checkered and I believe went around again. On his exit right by the 1/2 mile guardrail starting point the water truck had dumped an incredible amount of water. I think the water truck had a mechanical issue cause it dumped a ton of water all the way across the track ( which gave Whit Gastineau problems, but that's a different story). This area was really soupy. Well, when the "stuntman" hit the mud, which I'm sure he didn't see until he was right on it, he laid that sucker down pretty hard. It looked like the type of wipeout you have when you grab a lot of front brake and try to turn. Well, he laid it over and slid into the tractor tires there. Looked like it hurt, but he popped right up, most likely hurt a little but more so embarrassed and had adrenaline going.
So, we had to watch this guy joy ride around the track then on his exit he does that. It was really quite funny. I should have known when he came out in jeans and chaps that it wasn't going to be good. lol

It was quite hilarious and entertaining, the water truck was not a mechanical issue , the ol boy navigating it , backed into the grader there at the exit turning it around and broke some of the plumbing on the truck and the ponding of water began which led to the slip/slide/flip of the motorcycle man.

I'll second that motion. Hope they leave it alone for next week. Unfortunately we might get some moisture that is ironically needed here in these parts.

I agree 100% the track was great. I also mentioned to one of the officials how the track should be like that every week and he replied thats what they are shooting for. So lets hope that you guys get these tracks week in and week out and good luck to all of you this season. Go Fast and be Safe all.

Did anyone notice the tow vehicle and trailer, and the bikers girl? All probably older than I am. A torpedo shaped two wheel trailer with walls all around, pulled by a home made three wheeler of totally unknown brand and vintage. They probably have a LOT of fun, though. Trivia: just how old AM I?
