Everyone watching the Daytona 500 clearly has seen rookie mistakes made by Dale Jr today. He missed his pit box, came in another time and was not in the box like he should be and caused a race changing accident. Vickers and him were clearly fighting for the lucky dog which is fine, but Vickers clearly got the position and Earnhardt made the same "aggresive" driving move that gave Leffler a 5 lap penalty. Earnhardt created a major crash that he was not affected by and now finds himself back on the lead lap. THAT IS CRAP. Different strokes for different folks!!!! This guy might be the most popular, but he is far from the best driver. Sorry Earnhardt nation......this is poor driving to say the least. NASCAR needs to dish the rules to all the drivers the same and not just to those they don't like!!!! Way to go Dale......you took out most of the field and back on the lead lap....great job ROOKIE.

In my opinion they shouldn't be giving 5 lap penalties in the first place.

If you want to call it racing that is fine. But you can not say "we don't allow that" one day and be fine with it the next. I have seen many others penalized for a lot less.

Truth is Vickers blocked him, and JR tried to get back into line. Thats racing. That wasn't aggressive driving, and neither was yesterday's 5 lap penalty. Listen to his engine, he lifted.

Your complaint is he didn't get penalized or the day before they penalized someone else

Both really. My complaint is the inconsistancy. Either you call it racing or you don't. You don't change the rules from day to day depending on who commits the infraction.

NASCAR is a complete joke!!! Today's race was another perfect example why to spend your hard earned $$$ at a real race, sprint cars of any type, and let that over priced circus keep self-destructing! One of the very few NASCAR races i watch anymore and i just got reminded why after today.
Life's short, race hard!!!

All a product of the "Lucky Dog". Where else does a sanction give people their laps back by being the fastest of the losers?

I was just pissed. I just think rules are rules. I was thrown off by the 5 lap penalty to Leffler....I can't remember ever seeing that used, but to see the exact same thing today and the "GREAT" Dale Jr was "spared" the same rule. That could have been a lot worse of a crash too. To do that right in front of a pack of cars at those speeds is just pathetic. I watched Earnhardt's interview later and what a whiner....all the number signs are hard to read.....Vickers blocked "my run"...(that is funny stuff), I didn't do anything wrong. Whatever. I just get tired of this stuff. I blame myself too. I could have just replayed my Chili Bowl race that I taped if I wanted to see a real race.

I'm as guilty as everyone else but NASCAR isn't worth the energy it takes to type a complaint. Its been over 20 years now of total lunacy and we still care? The power of money is simply amazing. All those grown men down there acting like it's great is both hilarious and very sad at the same time. They might as well go rob a bank considering all the lies they are supporting.
Luna's Ford engine style that won 2 WoO titles and 3
Kings Royals before a weight rule against the best EVER
in their prime and now DOMINATES super dirt late model
racing is no longer allowed/wanted in a WoO sprint
car.... Was Luna a miracle worker?
